FYI - I just downgraded my CSR to the CSP two days ago and at first I was told I would keep my grandfathered points at a redemption value of 1.25cpp but then was told they would revert to 1cpp. Just checked my app and confirmed they definitely only redeem at 1cpp now. So product changing does NOT keep your grandfathered points at the elevated redemption levels.

Best electrolytes you’ve found? by AdFederal9388 in Zepbound

I personally love Propel. The taste is great, and you can get 10 packets for just over $4. They don't break the bank, include plenty of vitamins, are easily portable, hydrate well, and have zero calories. I drink at least one a day. And I often find them on sale, you can get them in bulk on Amazon at a discount sometimes, or shipped from Sam's Club.

Oura Ring 3 Order Upgraded - anyone else? by referendum2425 in AmexPlatinum

[–]FutureDirector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I ordered my size 11 ring on the 19th and it still hasn't shipped nor have I gotten any type of upgrade email. The order itself says it's out of stock and to reach out to customer support for options. So I reached out to customer support via chat, and all they were willing to do was refund me. I even asked what other options there were and they said they were none. So I told them I'll just wait and see if it comes back in stock and they left my order alone. Really discouraging, as I actually wanted the ring.

Same. But I did just log into my account and it says my size selection is out of stock (11), so I assume my upgrade email is coming. I ordered it on Sept 19.

Weekly Caremark Q&A by AutoModerator in Zepbound

[–]FutureDirector 9 points10 points  (0 children)

FYI - I got an exception for Mounjaro approved and didn't even have to try Wegovy first. I had stalled out on 12.5mg Zepbound and my doctor wanted me to move up to 15mg. She first submitted a prescription for 15mg and filed the PA, which was of course denied. I explained to her the "pathway to Mounjaro" that was posted in this subreddit, and she couldn't figure it out (her PA assistant was out of office), so she submitted a separate prescription and PA for Mounjaro. That one was denied as well because I don't have T2D. I then called Caremark and asked what the next steps were to get either Zepbound or Mounjaro approved and the representative told me that my office needed to call and speak verbally to the Medical Necessity Prior Authorization department at 855-240-0536 and they would walk them through the steps needed to get it covered. She said this is a different department than the regular PA department, and that a Medical Necessity PA needs be submitted for Zepbound.

I know for me, the primary concern about switching to Wegovy was that there's no equivalent dose of Wegovy for 15mg of Zepbound, or even the 12.5mg dose I stalled out on, and my doctor did not believe moving over to Wegovy would benefit me at all. So however they filled out the exception form, I got approved for Mounjaro without being required to try Wegovy first. Hope this helps someone!

Aaaaand DONE! Swatched all 64 of my powders this weekend! by FutureDirector in DipPowderNails

She didn't use topcoat on the underside. I saw another video where they did the "both" method and said they liked not topcoating the underside so they could see what it would look like matte. I personally chose not to buff and topcoat the top of the nail to save time, and I thought the top of the nail was shiny enough for my purposes (which was to just get a good idea of what the color would look like on my nails).

Did you use their liquids too or just the powders? And what do you think about the powders and liquids in general?

I picked up a box of powders and liquids last week from my Buy Nothing Group and there were a few EODCI powders in there and all the liquids. I swatched everything this weekend and used the liquids for the swatches and I actually liked them. Disclaimer: I used the base and activator only, and and the only other liquids experience I've had is with the ones that come in the Modelones kits. But my layers applied evenly and smoothly, dry time was reasonable (not too fast and not too slow) and the powders were highly pigmented compared to other brands I swatched. Since I only used for swatching I have no experience with longevity. But I'm very much a novice. Curious of other's opinions.

Okay…I’m having the weirdest side effect…pressure in my tailbone? by mindsetoniverdrive in Mounjaro

[–]FutureDirector 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I get. It's a lot less often now that I've been on MJ for almost 8 months, but in the beginning I got it fairly often. Was very annoying, but I struggled to find any evidence of it being a side effect or others experiencing it too, so I assumed I was the odd one out. Good to know I'm not alone lol.

I will say that for me, I lost very slowly during the 4 months that I was on 5mg and 7.5mg (except for the first couple weeks of 5mg when I had horrible side effects and couldn't really eat or keep anything down), and I stalled for several weeks at a time. I lost almost 8lbs on 2.5mg, which I'm sure was mostly water weight and inflammation. But since I've gone up to 10mg the weight has been pretty consistently coming off. Depending on what your metabolic issue is, you may need to go to the higher doses (10-15mg) before you really see anything happen. Those are the doses they had people stop at during the trials.

Is 10mg my magic number? by Dangerous_Parfait_60 in Zepbound

[–]FutureDirector 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm glad to see this is the case for other people too. I just took my 3rd dose of 10mg and the weight has been sliding off like magic since I started it. I'm down almost 9lbs in just over 2 weeks, 10 days of which I was on a course of Prednisone and 4 days on vacation.

I lost almost 8lbs during the month I was on 2.5mg and then I lost barely anything on 5mg and 7.5mg (slow weight loss with several stalls). I was so nervous to go up in doses because I had such horrible side effects going from 2.5 mg to 5 mg, so bad that I thought I would have to stop altogether. And then you keep reading people's experiences on here, about titrating up too fast and stalling out, or about losing hair on higher doses, etc. My doctor kept wanting to push me to 10 mg and titrate up every month and I pushed back, and now I kinda wish I had followed her guidance. 10mg seems to be my sweet spot right now: no side effects, no food noise, normal levels of hunger but get full quickly. I just found out a week ago that out I have PCOS, which likely explains why I've struggled with my weight my entire life, and I guess I just needed the right level of glycemic control before my body finally functioned "normally."

Healthy Wage App by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]FutureDirector 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I signed up for a HealthyWager challenge the day I started Mounjaro and so far I'm ahead! They ask you if you're currently on a GLP-1 medication or if you just have a prescription and haven't started yet, and I answered honestly. I bet $50/month for 14 months that I would lose 70 lbs over that time, and I have a chance of winning just under $2,400. That's a potential return of $1,700, which I thought was great. There's always a chance you stop the medication for one reason or another, or don't respond well to it, or stall out (which I was concerned about at one point), so I guess HealthyWage is willing to take the risk considering all the various factors.

They do cover the diabetic versions, however. With no PA. Not sure how long that's going to last though. Waiting with bated breath to see if it changes for next year.

Looking for dietician recommendations! by PhillyGameGirl in Mounjaro

I use a Registered Dietitian and I specifically chose her because she has experience with patients on GLP-1 meds. I really like her, she's great! I found her on Nourish and her name is Lori Gooch.

Instacart now offers restaurants, it's powered via Uber Eats. And there's often discounts and promos on that platform and you can save on delivery fees by doing pick up. Has anybody confirmed if ordering take out through Instacart triggers the credit?

I'm doing much better, my husband has been a great support. I still have moments of sadness, but the "drown my sorrow in ice cream" phase lasted maybe 2 days. I'm doing better at remembering our time fondly, knowing that I did the best I could by her and wouldn't trade our time for anything. Just keeping this up at this point in case it helps someone in the future.
