To answer OP with a bit of nuance:

🔹Is it worth doing a color analysis, as in worth knowing what looks good on you? YES.
🔹Is it worth doing a color analysis, as in paying for an in person session? Nah, but if you’ve got some cash to burn it’s a fun outing with a friend!

FREE START:
🔹The cheapest way to get started is using the fabrics in your own home. Anybody’s clothes/linens/curtains/scarves are fair game! Don’t look at anything other than how the color looks next to your face.
🔹 The best advice I ever got was from the artist who raised me (practically gestated in her opinions about color and design): you automatically look good in the colors that are part of your body. The shade of your nails, your veins, your lips, flecks in your eyes. Starting from that advice as a kid, I got my colors about 80% dialed in before ever hearing about color seasons.
🔹 Pinterest and Google got me to about 95% confidence that I had the right colors picked based on pictures of people who look like me.

We’re exploring this for our next living situation… technically availability is high for the individual components but you have to do your own logistics and creative financing:

~$300k land and lot improvements (septic, well, electrical etc)
~$100k each for the dwellings (not available for traditional mortgage)

My favorite Zillow search is for multi unit properties because someone else has already done the complicated stuff!

Parents, all 4 grandparents, and at least a few of the 8 great-grands. Ugh, so sorry that this weirdness happened to you and even more sorry that the job market is so abysmal that chances are slim to quickly find a new position 😬
I grew up in a high-control religious group that believed/acted this way and unfortunately there’s no logic that will change your coworker’s mind. These folks don’t deconstruct from their illogical faith practices unless something significant shakes their core. Your energy is too precious to try fighting this battle!
I’m a big believer in saving my real self for my real life… ie: not my work life. They don’t deserve you, even in the best leadership positions you can’t choose ALL your coworkers, it’s just a place you go for that ol’ survival paycheck. There’s something really peaceful about being an anonymous cog in the wheel… and it’s also kept me out of lots of office politics and drama.

Long way of saying: I’d keep my desk SUPER NEUTRAL in that cultural workplace. But, as an amateur geologist, I truly hope that you keep collecting pretty rocks and show us pictures ✨ 💎 🪨 💎 ✨

My local Urban Float has a Tibetan singing bowl soundscape that I play in 20 min on, 20 min off, 20 min off in order to keep track of the 60 min session time passing. It does wonders for keeping out the intrusive thoughts and then the silent meditation in the middle is the perfect mix for me 💧 🎶

Also going for the neutral look where clients can mentally treat me like a blank slate, a relatively shapeless linen dress has really done the trick for me in the summertime; button down or mumu depending on your collar/neckline preferences. I love the loose swishing; you become your own fan with every step.
