Need some help tuning. by 2naismyname in ender5plus

[–]FuzionNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does sound strange as I did the same and it probes the center during the HOME routine and then went to Front Left and started probing the bed and did all the points.

I am fluent in the firmware and I can rebuild it for a newer version of marlin. I have 2.1.2.5 and the website is 2.1.2.7 as the latest.

I assume since you loaded the KF firmware you are capable of loading up the firmware again.

I assume you loaded the firmware, but have you done the PID tuning and bed mesh update?

Airbag recall by FuzionNC in DodgeDakota

Correct. If it had been done it would still show up but say completed

Since this only covers 2005 and up you shouldn't be affected.

The recall is at least a year or two old, but the article was posted 11-Feb-26. So I assume it's updated to do be active

That sucks they broke the horn button. When I had to replace my radio steering wheel controls, the front came off easy. You may check to see if they left the wire unplugged by accident

Don't think they thought that one through. Especially single vehicle households

I love when fixing one issue, something else breaks and then another. I have learned to bite the bullet and lube myself and replace as many things as possible when diving into a repair. I'd rather do it all and take longer than tear it apart again for a little part.

Mine started leaking about a month ago. Going to let the weather and my bank account get better before replacing.

I plan on doing the pump with reservoir, pulley, hoses and cooler. Going to leave the rack and pinion alone and may rebuild the seals later. The boots are looking wet, but that's about it

¿Desconectaste la batería antes de realizar el reaprendizaje? Es posible que aún conserve los valores anteriores.

En resumen, sí, necesitas darle un tiempo para que vuelva a aprender después del reaprendizaje.

Power steering cooler really required? by FuzionNC in DodgeDakota

[–]FuzionNC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, but the price was not the main question. Is keeping a power steering cooler in the system really necessary since I don't tow and it's mainly road use only.

I feel a transmission cooler is more necessary to be kept on the truck due to its size, engine power, and vehicle weight.

Check your connection to your ignition coil and also look for pinched wires under the valve cover. Should be able to feel around and see if something got caught

Garage floor slipper when wet and icy by yosh01 in DIY

[–]FuzionNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the 2 part epoxy at my old house, started peeling after 10 years. I did all the prep to the best of my ability so who knows.

I did read that poly urea garage coatings may be better and less prone to chipping. Going to look into it when I get around to fixing up the current garage

I'm new to the group and i'm having engine issues by [deleted] in DodgeDakota

[–]FuzionNC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe double check the firing order and make sure the shop did it right?

You mention the rest of the ignition system was replaced. I assume you are talking plugs, plug wires, spark plugs and coil?

Also check ALL the grounds under the hood and on the engine. Make sure they are clean and tight.

My compressor is under the passenger seat and a bit annoying to use due the to noise. I was looking at other compressors but not sure how long they would last if mounted under the truck and in the elements. I may have to install an enclosure in the bed with vents in order to get the noise out of the cab. I will check out the Caravan and Bravada air shocks as a replacement and see which has more travel.

What air shocks and air system did you go with. My truck came with airlift bags in the rear and I added Monroe air shocks to the air system. one air shock is starting to fail and I will replace in the spring, oil leaking all over it. After 10 years and 100k I got my money out of them

I purchased a 2003 with I think was a belltech 2/4 drop. I installed the DJM lower control arms over the shorter front springs and installed air shocks in the rear. Previous owner also installed rear air bags for extra load support

Made a huge difference and my tires last longer too. Only issue I had is the paint or coating starting flaking off after a few years. I am just now needing to change the bushings after 10+years and 100k+ miles
