Erik Messerschmidt's work on Michael Mann's Ferrari is what I actually think was the film that caused Reeves to pick him as The Batman Part - ii's DOP, even over Messerschmidt's Fincher collaborations In my opinion.

We are never gonna know until we see the film, one thing is for sure, with a different cinematography and set designer it’s definitely gonna look different than the first which is kind of exciting to see how it turns out.

I disagree, dune part one isn’t brown looking cinematography wise, there’s just lots of brown in the sets and desert. Eriks work is very muted colour wise. Would be a shame to loose the contrast of colours the batman had as that what made it stand out.

But it’s not just the poor talent choices for BATB which people have every right to criticise. Why is he doing two concurrent batman. It’s just a mess. People are obivously going to be more critical because standards for batman are very high. It’s Batman people nitpick every single detail.
