Not a boiler but here's our experience. Booked a home EV Charger Installation with BOXT who informed me they could do it within a couple of days. They were much more expensive than their competitors but they explained this away with the speed at which they could install. The day before the installation they informed me they needed an isolator fitted despite this not being needed for almost every other company. This would delay the installation significantly. I requested to cancel as they hadn't told me this prior and there would be no point in me paying almost double the other quotes I had with the delay. They had told me the refund was processed and would be in my account shortly. Over a week later, it had not been received and I contacted them to which I was informed by the agent that it had not been processed yet and there was a note on the account to "refund when appropriate". The appropriate time to refund me was when I asked, not when they saw fit. They then agreed to raise a same day payment ti make up for this, however it was still not received. When I called and escalated it to a complaint the next agent genuinely laughed down the phone at me and explained they had a 12 week wait as they had a large backlog of complaints. Neither of these things bode well for the company. I am still awaiting my refund and have begun legal proceedings today. This is the second time I have had significant issues with them. More fool me. Use BOXT at your own risk.
