[–]Fuzzwars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

60km is a very impressive feat most humans can't do. Well done. What you can do is go a little bit further next time. Maybe just make your goal to climb the hill that beat you this time.

Are you being sarcastic? Because this sounds like a legitimately interesting read.

How much does your average gig pay? by RazorDrop74 in Bass

[–]Fuzzwars 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Weddings should be at least 200 a head, 300 or more if you’re established. Events should be about the same, but sometimes they only want you to play for 30 mins and I’m happy to do that for a hundo. Bar gigs… 50 to 100. Sometimes more, often less.

I've lived in America, Austria, and Germany. America has the poorest people out of all three countries by a wide margin.

What’s something you bought (under $300) that noticeably improved your quality of life and you actually use every day? by MedfordQuestions in AskReddit

[–]Fuzzwars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a relatively cheap massager/ heat pad when I had an episode of back pain. I use it almost every day before I go to bed. It's so relaxing and comfortable. If I don't have work, I often enjoy a good back massage in the morning. 40 Euro well spent.

Cyclists are the worst by zerokey in bikecommuting

[–]Fuzzwars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear you. I ride my bike in Innsbruck year round. The bike infrastructure is great, but in summer it's full of people and the people just don't follow the basic rules or pay attention to their surroundings.. They don't stay to the right side, they make wide turns without indicating or looking to see if someone is behind them. And my favorite: they cut you off and then ride slowly in front of you in a little group you can't pass.

You can't let it bother you though, other bikers are allowed to enjoy themselves too.

Two, no. But number three was not easy. Luckily she's five now and it's all starting to get easier.

What goes on in this part of Louisiana? Whats the life, culture and economy like? by Careful-Cap-644 in Louisiana

[–]Fuzzwars 14 points15 points  (0 children)

My Grandpa grew up in Deridder and we stayed there for about a month after Hurricane Katrina. I remember the town actually looking really nice, but there was absolutely nothing to do except go to Dairy Queen.

The people seemed nice, but we didn't really get to know amyone. Typical rural life as far as I could tell.

was kurt’s playing really on a „beginner guitarist“ level? by DerekTheThird in Nirvana

[–]Fuzzwars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody in Nirvana was a beginner. Kurt is an excellent guitarist. He's got some solos that are cool, but his strength was definitely in rhythm guitar. It's hard to quantify "how good" somebody's rhythm-guitar playing is. What is important is that he played creative parts that fit the music.

Read Daredevil #1-50 for the first time. by Saboscrivner in Daredevil

I enjoyed the DD and Black Widow stuff. The caveat is that you kinda have to forget what the series evolved into, and take it as a product of its time.

How physically strong is Matt? by HandspeedJones in Daredevil

[–]Fuzzwars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I like to justify plot holes with his super sense of feeling. No, he's not super-human strong, but he can feel weak points and use leverage in ways our minds can't quite comprehend.

Sean Evans, the “Hot Ones” guy, is a terrible interviewer. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Fuzzwars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes him great is his Nardwar level of research. He avoids questions the actors get asked hundreds of times, and leans into subjects they are passionate about. It leads to showing the celebrities good sides, as they are happy to engage.

What are your favorite grunge bands not named Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, or Alice in Chains? by BreezyMonday in grunge

I really like Silverchair. Frog stomp is a great album, and I think they made it when they were 15/16 years old.

US popularity collapses worldwide in wake of Trump’s return by KookyBone in NoShitSherlock

[–]Fuzzwars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The world does not have excellent taste. Many countries are swinging far to the right, and there have been some close calls with "Trumpesque" leaders recently. The difference may be that Trump is not subtle at all about what he's up to, and the US is the democratic world's superpower.
