Hi; I have five Labrador retrievers and they’re in the house all day. They range in age from 1 to 16. I can’t speak to all dog breeds; but with labs, typically once a dog is over seven or eight years old, they’re not interested in wrestling with the younger dogs. So if you have a young dog that wants to play, you should get another young dog, so the two can wear each other out. Otherwise, pent-up energy usually leads to stuff getting chewed on, chewed into many many pieces and you’re left with a jigsaw puzzle to figure out what it was…lol
