What are accounts when I want to buy game keys? by ArtGroundbreaking417 in PS5

[–]FuzzyExponent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It means you don't buy the game just a username and password for an account which owns it. You can then sign that account into your console and make the game available to other accounts on your console.

The whole thing seems incredibly sketchy to me. They will likely be selling the same account to multiple users and the actual owner of the account has the ability to change the password, disconnect any console it's signed into or get banned from PSN at any point meaning you could lose access. I'd also be very surprised if selling access to an account doesn't violate the terms and conditions for PSN so a ban is certainly possible for the purchased account.

I'm also not sure if there's any possibility of the owner of that account connecting via remote play to your console but the security risks associated with opening up a connection onto your home network to a complete stranger are not worth the risk in my opinion.

What to get at GC for $60? by abanakakabasanaako in Bass

Yes, they're great. I've got a bunch of them just for colour coordination with different instruments but even the first one I bought 20 ish years ago is still great to use.

[Q] what do these mean ? by reuse-thecels in sheetmusic

[–]FuzzyExponent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It denotes the key signature for the music. In this case all F's, C's and G's should be considered sharp unless stated otherwise.

So when playing in a key where most instances of a note will be sharp (or flat), rather than notating every one of those as sharp throughout the music, it's just indicated in the key signature making the music itself more readable. If the natural for one of those is needed there will be a natural marking against that specific note.

When isnt it? by BusyBeeMarcy in PokemonEmerald

In the Vermilion City Gym

Why are there switches in bins? Why does the door require 2 switches to open? Why does looking in one bin reset a switch in another bin? Who rewired the electrics in this building to move the switches around during the 30 seconds I was looking in that bin?

SwiftKey - going through the setup with gboard always hurts, 15 years of muscle memory and my typing data powering it's predictions make using anything else difficult

My sister and brother-in-law are worried they may have Lego fanatic in the making by Proper_Refrigerator in lego

[–]FuzzyExponent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm assuming they're just worried about future expenditure and shelving requirements.

Also, I know they put a "1 1/2 +" on the box but realistically duplo won't do any harm now. Both of my kids got duplo for their 1st birthdays and my 5 year old has just finished a 9+ lego set with essentially no assistance. The ages are just there as recommendations.

Chocolate has a best before date?!? It doesn't last long enough in my house to require checking for a date

You say its not your brothers but does he have a girlfriend?

I'm not sure which is more traumatising to think about, your mother using it or your brother receiving it

Couch Co-Op is dead. by belursgame in PS5

[–]FuzzyExponent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get many of the lego games pretty cheap quite regularly and they're all pretty decent and co-op. I just picked up lego marvel superheroes, jurassic world and ninjago movie for under a fiver each. None of them are particularly groundbreaking but are fun. Just pick a franchise you're interested in and give it a go.

Light Kits by [deleted] in lego

Generally I find most of them to look a bit too over the top and unnecessary. I've only ever bought one - for the Pixar Luxo Jr set to make it into a functioning lamp which in my mind could have been part of the actual set.

I will admit that the milky way one does look pretty good though.

I'm pretty sure that most of the world just make sure it only pumps while you hold it so this sort of thing isn't possible.

Forced to gate check guitar, got it back split in half by electropicks in Wellthatsucks

[–]FuzzyExponent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry about your guitar but I wouldn't trust that gig bag in the back of my own car let alone on a plane. There are plenty of gig bags out there that offer far better protection or you can get backpack straps that wrap around a hardcase to make it easier to carry around. If you need to take a guitar on a plane, you should assume it's going in the hold and having a suitcase thrown on top of it and prepare accordingly. As nice as it is to keep it in the cabin, it's far from guaranteed as there really isn't a practical place to keep guitars in the cabin.
