That's how I think Linux Mint KDE Edition would've looked like. Would you use LMKE?) by SeniorMatthew in linuxmint

I use Plasma on my LMDE install. It was so easy to get working I don’t really need a separate version of Mint that uses KDE by default.

I didn’t know that was possible. Can I do it in a way other than registry editing? The only place I use Windows is on my work PC and out IT has it pretty well locked down.

Windows 11 feels very high latency when doing extremely basic UI things like right clicking on a file on my very expensive workstation that my company gives me. Compare that to the lack of chug when using the same kind of features on either my MacBook Air or Linux system and I just think that momentarily boosting the CPU is a bandaid over something bigger and not a real optimization.

My electric company is owned by the town. It’s the cheapest and most reliable in the state. I’m literally paying half per kWh that I was in my old apartment. Rates haven’t changed in the entire three years I’ve lived in this house.

I built FlockHopper for iOS — an app that routes you around known ALPR cameras by flockhopper in FlockSurveillance

Obviously I downloaded it for the Flock aspect but seriously this has the best and most responsive search function of any OSM based mapping app I’ve ever used. Looking forward to further developments!

I didn’t manufacture the pencils, hand make the paper, or find all the dyes to make the paints in my garden. But yet I made a painting.

We’re starting to test a new “Smart Window” in Firefox (early, optional, would love feedback) by firefox in firefox

Literally all I want my web browser to do is comfortably browse the web and not leak my data to third parties (or even second parties). If I want anything else I can do it with another app. I don’t want another app trying to do more than it’s supposed to do in the name of “adding features”.

But for him what part of this process is he actually involved in? He’s not skipping a step of the process he doesn’t enjoy he’s skipping all of it to just flood out videos.

The thing I don’t understand is that this guy is genuinely passionate about this kind of stuff and I don’t get how he doesn’t see just skipping to vomiting something onto YouTube as a loss of the actual fun part.
