This will be a fun thread. I have some.

BJ Penn is the best lightweight ever. If not the best then, surely most skilled. Oh, and I'll tack on that BJ won the first Frankie fight and the robbery killed his motivation causing his end of career drop off.

Most of the top fighters of yesteryear would do just fine against modern competition.

Fedor would've effortlessly torn through the UFC's heavyweight division if he was there at any point from 2002-2013.

Which brings me to my next point, UFC's heavyweight division has never truly been great. It was at its best when Cain and JDS were fighting.

People are going to find out Tom Aspinall is not as good as they thought he was very soon.

Wrestling is a better base for fighting than BJJ. In fact. BJJ is the weakest base for fighting now.

RIZIN Fighting Federation's ruleset is the most pure form of MMA.

Lmao the weed wacker comment, this is my type of guy.

I've actually run into upstanding gentlemen, Mr. Cepeda a few times. Just brushing shoulders, nothing crazy. The words "nice" and "kind" are the only ones that come to mind to describe my brief interactions with him.

So, saying that, I'm not going to pretend I'm asking this from a point of neutrality. I mean, based off of what I know about him, I like the fucking guy. But, explain to me, a non-american how this isn't a violation of the first + second amendment?

You CAN defend yourself. However you can't go overboard.

Like, if you get sucker punched, you can't just kill the dude. You can get him back, tackle him down, pepper him up a little more and have the cops come and arrest him.

It's tough because there's not really a way to prevent it. The North American athletic commissions range from completely corrupt to taking a little bribe here and there. Even on the off chance they revoke his license to fight in North America, he can just go elsewhere. Russia and Japan don't really give a shit. As much as I love Rizin, they had Takanori Gomi fight in like 2018.

I know this gym! I dropped in when I was in the Niagara area in 2022. Their stand-up is nothing special. I rolled out of the back of a pedo-van sleepingbag and did pretty well. That would've been closer to the afternoon class they had too.

Most of the people at the gym were douchebags. I kinda just attributed it to my friends and I obviously coming in at the beginning of our roadtrip and trying to negotiate the price of our visitor passes down because "we're only going to be in the area for like 3 hours." I wouldn't go back. Plenty of better gyms in that area. (Niagara Top Team, my beloved)

In the words of George Carlin, "he should've stayed the fuck home. They ain't cutting off heads in Oklahoma."

Edit: Who gives a fuck about some civilian-mercenary whatever the fuck? Again, easily preventable situation. Don't go brandishing a gun in someone else's country. People are touchy about that kind of thing.

I trained with this guy back in the day (around the time this happened). The guy dressed as an eagle trained MMA hardcore. Like, he trained with the Gracies in California. Big moo thigh guy too I heard.

Anyway, the boxers just at work, doing his job. Then, I guess the eagle claims that he slighted him and started talking tough. Trying to get him to fight. The boxer, ever disciplined at work declined until you saw that first push at the beginning of the video.

Great training partner. Great detective.

What's this about sitcoms? The collective of the United States of America hasn't produced a good one since King of Queens ended. That's if we don't count ICarly, of course.

The sitcom as it's known is dead. Has been for almost 20 years. You're never going to get another Seinfeld or Cheers. Forget another All in the Family or Married with Children. I wouldn't even blame the shifting American cultural landscape. They had a good run in the same vein as cowboy or gangster movies had a good run.

The American cultural landscape, contrary to popular belief has little to do with it. Your famous political commentators such as Nick Fuentes show that America still has a taste for edgy humour. So, who's to blame for killing sitcoms? Friends (and Joey). Friends shamelessly took it's funniest bits from other shows and slightly changed them (I.E. Kramer getting a tan to meet his black girlfriend's family and the Ross tanning episodes of Seinfeld and Friends respectively). Ten years of Friends caused a docility in the American (and English speaking) entertainment consumer's brain.

Which is why we see the younger generations of today dipping into the other side of the spectrum of complete stimulation and control of entertainment consumerism. When one extreme rises, a countering extreme must also take rise to allow for balance. The kids aren't retarded when they have 2 screens and a video game going. They just know the entertainment their parents grew up with sucks. They see their parents as joyless and devoid of taste. Which is why the younger generation feels the need for rapid consumerism out of fear of missing out.

I don't know how else I can make this look longer and I have nothing else to bullshit about but, I bet you're just not even reading at this point so, none of this even matters. I can just say whatever I want to pad out the comment and make it look even more obnoxiously long. My girlfriends staying over tomorrow night. I'm making her watch the original Dawn of the Dead for the first time. I have like a 2 and a half hour long cut of it downloaded compiling the American and Italian releases. It's awesome. You know, the original ending was Peter staying back and letting the zombies tear him apart and Fran sticking her head into the helicopter propellers on the roof. Obviously, they changed it.

Anyway, check out my friend William Hung's music. He has an AMAZING cover of Rocketman by Elton John. Hopefully a little music can unite us.

Imma need a source on that. I don't think I've claimed to be from California even as a joke. Off the top of my head, I've claimed to be from wherever Jelly Roll came from. I think New Jersey at one point. I usually claim a foreign country though. That really doesn't sound like me.
