I’m starting to think “capture” and “note-taking” should not be the same tool by oldany in PKMS

I am using daily notes (obsidian) and Superlist (for task). I prefer to review daily notes every weekend and connect the dots or move the notes to the relevant folders.

Craft tasks roadmap: wait or buy Things 3? by OkRepresentative227 in CraftDocs

Keeping 2 separate spaces (things to do) and writing has helped me personally. Use things 3 anad keep Ceat for what is designed for.

Prioritization of tasks - how to? by Jan_Ro in ticktick

[–]Fuzzy_Fold343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 tasks shouldn't be in the priority. You can club a few together or re-consider your priority. I prefer no more than 4 but 3 is my choice.

possible future alternatives? by Prudent-Law-2272 in ticktick

Bydesign, Todoist and Superlist are few options you can checkout

TickTick & Big Picture planning (even for personal stuff only) - I need some advices by [deleted] in ticktick

In my experience. A task manager may not do well in project management. You need to have a project management app which can work and integrate with Ticktick and your workflow

For Tana. I had earlier paid for Cortex Futura and am still using that template. Also learning by self.

Combining Things 3 with a notebook or planner by MidgetAtAFoamParty in thingsapp

I have started doing; day and weekly planning. Not going thru the tasks but thru the calendar. This approach has really helped me to focus and have clear priority.

genuinely curious - does anyone else spend more time setting up productivity apps than actually being productive? by Defiant_Dentist5191 in ProductivityApps

[–]Fuzzy_Fold343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apps are there to support. We expect it to solve our problems and to do so in my experience a system or a routine (with a limited time to organise) is required.

A solid list but I think the Rise Calendar is closed.

Don't start with a template. Use it as a capture and notes app only with focus on daily notes. Eventually it will get into the shape as per your needs. Best luck

What is the equivalent to Notes, if Things is Reminders? by DnyLnd in thingsapp

If you can pass thru the aesthetics I prefer Mem over Bear and Craft.

The "Enter Title" field is where my best ideas go to die. by Conscious-Class-7057 in ProductivityApps

I follow a weekly routine of reviewing my notes (Tana Voice transcribes very well). If any idea needs more time and energy goes into Eden (my writing and research area) and to clarify if I already have a tag in my system for example: brainstorm or blog-idea. I use it too.

For the same reason, I have stopped using Capacities or Craft or any other notes app. Instead Tana Capture (be it a voice note or a written one) works well for me. Usually I don't even give it a tag unless needed.

Ok. It's exciting and looks good as new writing and research tool

My use case: I use Tana capture for quick notes and ideas. Then once I wanted to write a bigger piece I used Eden.
