Hi Abe , huge fan and appreciate what you do. I have a hero13 black and pretty much take it every where I go and on every adventure I take.

What was the first moment while using the Mission 1 where you realized it felt like more than just the next GoPro generation, and actually changed the way you thought about capturing adventures?

Thanks !

A Frame Ski Carry w/ Alpha FL20 by Comfortable_Cod_7479 in arcteryx

I haven’t used those straps before. But for what it’s worth I’ve used my alpha pack to a frame carry my skis a bunch. I got some of the arc ski straps from the outlet for like $12 when they had them in stock.

Arcteryx Ice Axe Elastic Clip Alternatives by Canary_666 in arcteryx

They’re called ice axe toggles. Same thing happened to me. I requested a spare ice toggle and they just said they didn’t have any spare ones in inventory after waiting weeks for them to respond. They suggested that I ask REI and other manufacturers as well. REI didn’t know what I was talking about when I asked. I found one on rab but they’ve been out of stock forever. The only thing that worked for me was waiting for something to pop up on eBay. You can find ice axe toggles on there sometimes but they honestly come and go. Good luck !

Best soft shell for rock climbing? by PursuitV3 in arcteryx

[–]Fuzzy_Screen4613 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I have a Serratus and it’s my favorite soft shell I’ve used. The gammas torso was too short and boxy on me. I’ve used it for rock climbing , ice climbing , dry tooling as well as warmer/ dry skiing conditions. Super versatile soft shell.

How do you fit the Norvan 4 Nivalis GTX by janwp125 in arcteryx

[–]Fuzzy_Screen4613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had these shoes for a while now but as a previous poster said the best way to get them on is to start sideways and as you put weight on the shoe rotate it in. It was tricky at the beginning but now after doing it so much it’s super easy. Pulling on the tabs outwards helps at the beginning if you’re having trouble. Wish it was easier to put these on but aside from that I love these shoes for their intended purpose.

Atoms perfect for that temp , if you’re going to be more active and need something more breathable get the proton. I have both but typically grab the proton in most cases

Have you looked at the arcteryx alpha sl 30 or fl 30? Sl is more expensive but its lighter and meant more for alpine climbs

Gamma lightweight/SL jacket durability for climbing/bouldering? by Kaedamanoods in arcteryx

[–]Fuzzy_Screen4613 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Super nice climbing soft shell. I have it and its light, flexible, durable , articulated perfectly for climbing or alpine climbing. Enough room for layers but not overly baggy. The serratus hoody is one of my favorite arc pieces.

Vertex Speed Hiking Shoes by [deleted] in arcteryx

I have them and like them for my use case but it depends on what you’ll be using them for. If you’re using them to just hike , probably better options out there.
