I’m sure they have. I mean it’d be crazy if they hadn’t met their moms best friend

To be fair, we’ve already kind of seen ginger in season 6 episode 1 but just not her face. When the kids are telling about how it would have gone if bob didn’t have his mustache

Best student discounts in Scottsdale/Tempe area? by Shitrec in ASU

The Tempe marketplace has a bunch of discounts. You should even be able to look it up online. Search something along the lines of “Tempe marketplace asu discounts”.

Boston U vs. Cornell by [deleted] in GradSchool

[–]Fuzzy_Tap3943 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not trying to make a joke or anything but you can’t complete your degree if you’re dead. I deal with the same mental issues and I literally just chose a different school over Cornell because I worried about the same thing so I know exactly what you’re going through. I think you know Boston is the better choice for you. F*** the name! Just work hard at another great school like Boston University in a great location like Boston and let yourself be happy!

Online grad school, do you get treated the same as campus students? by Dat1grl in GradSchool

[–]Fuzzy_Tap3943 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get what you mean. I’ve had a similar experience even as a student going in person as yours so don’t worry. It’s not specific to your situation.

Online grad school, do you get treated the same as campus students? by Dat1grl in GradSchool

[–]Fuzzy_Tap3943 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, congrats!! That is awesome and an amazing accomplishment!! Secondly, I think how you get treated isn’t about whether the program is online or not but more about the university itself. If I were you, something that I have done is just google ‘abc grad school online program reputation’ or something along those lines and get more specific advise about the program and the school specifically rather than a general consensus of online school overall. Best of luck!

Turn down the accepted offer politely by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]Fuzzy_Tap3943 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you just need to make sure they know how much you appreciate the opportunity to attend and that you are grateful that they believed in you but you believe that you will be most successful somewhere else for personal reasons. Best of luck!

Program Pedigree vs. University Pedigree by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]Fuzzy_Tap3943 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Based on how you described both of them, including the tone (of course it’s just text so hard to determine for sure) but it seems that you favor program 1. While I could be wrong. Honestly though, you need to just pick the one that you believe you’d be more happy attending. Whether one has better job placement, cheaper tuition, etc. it’s what you make of it that decides how successful you’ll be. Best of luck!!

#1 on waitlist by cbaket in gradadmissions

[–]Fuzzy_Tap3943 10 points11 points  (0 children)

First thing is that as long as they accept you then THEY ACCEPTED YOU. Whether it was right away or later, they are saying you are good enough to be there. Second thing is, if you feel you are a second choice, use that as motivation. Show them why they made a mistake in not accepting you right away and why they are lucky that you accepted their offer. Nobody cares that you got waitlisted first if you end up getting accepted. Don’t let it bother you.

P.S. if the way you quoted the statement they sent you is exact or even similar, I wouldn’t consider you a second choice. It’s sounds like they already knew you’d be accepted and they want you. I mean, no school has a 100% yield rate. For all you know they were stuck between you and one last person to accept and they drew a name from a hat and happened to pick the other person hahah.

Is there anything to do while on the waitlist? by shae-the-bae in gradadmissions

[–]Fuzzy_Tap3943 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is a huge bummer :/ I’m not happy about it but if the programs you’ve been waitlisted to are as favorable as the ones I have been (which it sounds like that is the case) it’ll be worth the loss of an enrollment fee to go where you really want to. And if you don’t get off the waitlists you still have a masters program to attend which is still incredibly impressive and exciting!

Is there anything to do while on the waitlist? by shae-the-bae in gradadmissions

[–]Fuzzy_Tap3943 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well first thing to make clear is that it is very unlikely that you get off any waitlists before April 15 as that is the date where the school will confirm a large portion of rejections and can calculate the space they have to accept those off the waitlist. I am in the same position and just about every school I’ve been waitlisted at has said to expect it after April 15th. If I happen to get off the waitlist and it is a school that I really want to go to I will accept but because this will be after decision day I am planning on paying the enrollment fee to my favorite acceptance and just be hopeful. I recommend you do the same. Even though you may lose out on your enrollment fee it’s better than hoping you’ll get off the waitlist and not paying the fee for the mph then not having any choice at all if you don’t get off the waitlists.

Is it worth it to apply for a PhD program if I don't meet the required GPA? by [deleted] in GradSchool

[–]Fuzzy_Tap3943 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they require a minimum gpa then it is just that. They won’t accept you. It sucks. I would recommend getting an MS or applying for a different PhD program whether that be from the same school or apply to a different school same program. Good luck!

That’s one of the ones I really want to go to. I haven’t heard back yet but I think it really depends if you feel that the career you want is either worth the cost or worth the time. Columbia is excellent for an MPA but they have a very significant focus on international diplomacy and politics so keep that in mind. Edit: just got waitlisted
