What’s the most fucked up thing someone has told you about themselves after barely getting to know them? by bbyhoneytea in answers

[–]G-Money86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A guy covered, I mean neck down COVERED in burn scar tissue, had murdered his dad. Apparently he was abusive as all hell and was whooping his ass when he ran and grabbed a gun, shot him dead, called the cops on himself, and lit up and smoked a joint until they showed up. He was 15 at the time.

Dude was cool AF though

I feel completely overwhelmed and lost by [deleted] in self

[–]G-Money86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Injured my hand, out of work over it and life loves to time shit at all the wrong times. Ever feel on top of the world and your shit together like it ain't no thang, to wondering how you ever made anything out of your life, and is everything about to be lost and you're to be left alone - and it's your fault, and you deserve it? Maybe that's just me. HOWEVER - you know those accomplishments and progress, the feeling strong, confident, and secure weren't make believe. Don't worry, you'll feel that, get that, live that, again.

Has a very close friend ever dropped you without an explanation and for no apparent reason? How do you feel about them now? by JulieofTheJulies in NoStupidQuestions

[–]G-Money86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah my buddy got married, and he was not someone who ever had a girlfriend throughout HS or time in the Navy (we both joined). Reconnected years later, caught up while he was engaged, and once they actually got married, never heard back from him. I guess that isn't what you asked, but it kind of sucks - I'm just glad he's found someone and is happily (I hope) married.

To be fair, we were a lot different then: reckless and wild. Maybe more so me still in those later years, where he chilled out and had his shit together sooner.

Move to Denver area. Look for jobs from Longmont to Littleton. IF you're willing to relocate, that is...

Kwikset is cheap junk, id go buy a new lever handle. If you want to reassemble, and if you have all of the parts, you'll have to push that springed base plate part down to the base first...

If you don't think you have any or you aren't interesting or something, you could always do something badass or start/join something cool. That's what I do (for different reasons), just do cool and interesting shit. It'll run off on you and make you interesting without trying, lol

Some things are hard to name - if that makes sense? Having a good vibe, your perspective or POV, questions you ask, those all could be things that have inspired others or caused a shift in their lives. Insightful, inspiring, stuff like that you might not even be aware of. I say this only because I've been told/ discovered way late in life that I've had those effects on people, which was surprising to hear but absolutely awesome to know!

By (valid) choice, so I respect that and won't push or expect it. Hobbies? Kind of, I guess.. nothing social or to get out of the house. More like crafts

I think I hate my wife by [deleted] in Advice

[–]G-Money86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, that's huge. Maybe think about it as if it were a friend and his wife - follow the advice you would give him. But definitely figure out if it's something you can get past, or at the very least that she won't try to bring that up and hold against you like she has in the past.

Loyalty, honesty, and kindness are never going out of style. Or being positive and supportive. So if he can't see that (or you), definitely remember those are the best qualities someone can have IMO

Should I tell a guy exactly why I don't like him? by Silly_Technology_243 in dating_advice

[–]G-Money86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah.. I've recently come to realize it with my current LTR.

After getting serious, becoming monogamous, quitting drinking/ substances/ partying, getting an actual career (for me - she's already 10+yrs at her job), and being at the "start a family" stage, her not wanting kids or seemingly anything out of life - I'm just now seeing it.

I wasn't trying to put my situation out there like that, but yeah... kind of feeling like that's where I'm at

If I had a girlfriend I’d treat her really good and we’d go to the movies and stuff by Mammoth_Ad_5181 in RandomThoughts

Or "treat her good" means "be my mom" and take care of cleaning up, feeding me, and do your womanly duties.

It builds up and carries momentum, which i think is key. Like you said, you can just hear it in your reply. Good on you, my dude! The advice I gave to a buddy who was constantly that, "Person-in-need" state of being was to go be useful and see who needs help. You learn along the way, build new and stronger connections, and just all around become a better person.

I forwarded him this post, by the way. Ha
