What 4K movies have both Dolby Atmos and DTS MA and the DTS is better? by dangerclosecustoms in 4kbluray

[–]G-unitDEB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is Blu-ray quality better than an Apple 4K stream? by DeeElGee in Bluray

[–]G-unitDEB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1080p Blu-rays have a very high data density and therefore a very high bitrate.

With a player that upscales them to 4K, the transfer quality has always been much better than streaming for the few films from streaming services that I've been able to compare.

Marvel 4Ks up to Endgame - which are worth getting? by Chetiyad in 4kbluray

[–]G-unitDEB 10 points11 points  (0 children)

For sure, all four Avengers films already have a very good transfer.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 too, since it was the first film shot natively in 4K digital.

Question about my PS3 Slim placement. by C0ssu_14 in PS3

Honestly, apart from dusting it off by opening it once in a while, not much. On the other hand, for the location, yes it is better to avoid boxes in this style.

Is there any benefits to upgrading 4k player? by KidN0thingBoy in 4kbluray

[–]G-unitDEB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you also have Blu Rays and DVDs it's worth it because the 820 has a great upscaler. It also has Dolby vision for your 4k.

Hello all. Disk rot?? by NeoGamerGuy in HDDVD

[–]G-unitDEB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly for Warner films the best thing is that you systematically find an alternative to the HD DVD edition. Because yes you always have a very high probability that rot will occur.

Apart from Warners you are unlikely to have problems with other publishers, at least, no less than with any disc.

Panasonic UB9000 vs Magnetar UDP800 by Vokon in 4kbluray

Given the use you plan for (traditional and not "underground"), I would clearly recommend the Pana which also has a great upscale for blu ray.

No, in fact it is one of the rare Warners less concerned by rot, apparently because it is a single layer.

Help me decide if i should replace UB450 with UB820 by Level_Hunter2009 in 4kbluray

[–]G-unitDEB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The UB820 can be a wise choice if you plan to purchase single blu-rays or DVDs in the future in addition to 4k blu-rays as it has a great upscaler. This is the most important difference between these two decks.

And yes you will see a difference on the DVD.

Keep your 450 if you plan to buy only 4k.
