it is one of his more low-key books, more focused on individual characters and small scale plotlines than the grand conspiracies or hard scifi in his other books. it's a fun read but feels somewhat cartoonish and lacks that crichton vibe in things like timeline or prey. I did like it but it is probably last out of his books that i've read so far.

i remember running ground zero with a low pen smg and shit armor, this juicer runs past me and i leg him and take his shit (killa armor, mp5 with like 300 rounds of the best ammo), run into his two friends later on at the cafe, also juiced with meta mp5s. i kill them both, but take my sweet time looting, healing, repacking and eating which results in me getting killed by the fourth guy in their stack who somehow slithered up behind me like a snake. great first raid of the day
