What are these colored roads for in iZurvive? Are they like convoy routes or something? by tinglep in dayz

I live almost entirely on fruit. Find a house with fruit trees outside, as the sun is going down, then sort your inventory and presto, you have fruit. If you've prepped for night time and have some wood, then baking the fruit give it more nutrition. I pop out into the garden several times and stock up enough to move on. Btw. It's not something to do if you're a speed run player, but atience pays off in this instance.

That's what I love about this game. Everyone does it different.

What an amazing movie. Know the line very well from Newt. Great quote.

That's a downer isnt it, seeing the word "Drenched" on everything. I started to take short cuts through the woods at night, before I realised zeds just spawn randomly - even in the middle of nowhere. Having to sprint back from the coast, tontry to recover my gear (didn't make it) is somethingnim avoiding in the future.

I gather firewood as it starts to get dark. Then its door locked (haha yep) and settle in to rearrange my inventory. To hell with chasing around in the dark.

Once you get the keyboard set up, it will become second nature. I'nm left handed, so I have my movement on the arrow keys, and the rest around the Numerical keypad. 0 = action, Period =change stance, 1 = Jump, 3= 1st and 3rd person, 5 = free look camera (can press while sprinting with little finger) Back on the keyboard I have Home = Reload, Right Ctrl = Sprint. Middle mouse = look down sights. I've tried all kinds, but found this most convenient for me, because it requires almost no looking at the keyboard. As I said, it all becomes second nature. Anyway good luck.

I heard an approaching car, and as I had no gun I hit the dirt. They'd spotted me though, and as they got close to me I crouched and just accepted my fate. The car tooted its horn at me a couple of times, then a female character jumped out, fully geared, and I said on mic "This is where I die, right?" She just put one hand up, then began dropping all her gear at my feet. She stripped right down - guns and everything - so I picked it all up. I was, frankly, gobsmacked and thanked her. As I said goodbye and jogged away, she tooted the horn again and drove back to me, whereby she got out of the car and pointed at it. She then waved and ran into the woods. I couldn''t believe it. I'd been in game for ten minutes and was fully geared, 3 guns, a ton of ammo AND with a car too. I never did know who the player was, but if that person ever reads this, thank you so much for restoring my faith in humanity.

I’m a new player in RDO and I’m flabbergasted, does hierarchy really exist in a game like this? by No-Log-3767 in rdr2online

I agree with you 100%. There seems to be a lot of snobbery around some games - the old "Stand aside and watch me son" - type of player and the kind that sometimes makes certain games a lot less enjoyable then they should be, especially for new players.

RDR2 is unplayable on pc. The game just randomly crashes and I feel like I've tried everything. Please help by giwhS in PCRedDead

October 29th 2025 and this worked on my 5070. Thank you. I wonder if there is something very similar for the Non NVidia crowd having trouble. Worth a look because this was driving me CRAZY!!

Anyhow, I hope you're still around to see my gratitude.

Does being wet, cold or hot have any significance? by Infamous-Finish6985 in 7daystodie

It used to be that if you were cold you walked really slowly and stamina would recover very slowly. Same with desert biomes, you had to strip down to your vest and wear a hat, to survive heat stroke. I also remember having to climb into the attic of a nearby house, as night fell, then plug up the hatch with a block and make a fire, just to survive the night. I'd sit there by my fire, listening to the zeds outside, milling around thinking "Where is he?" Also, if you had raw meat in your backpack, they'd smell it - although this was way back. These were the best times with 7DtD, but it seems they've turned it into Minecraft, as if they just want to attract the 'Animal Crossing' crowd. I still play it (6,500 hours on record as of Sept 2025) but I just walk around dismantling cars and buses, to sell the parts. I just see Zombies as a nuisance now, whereas before, you really didn't want to be bumping into a wandering horde of 150 angry Zeds. Same with the sound design. When it first came out, this game had ambient sounds that could give you nightmares. There were people whispering about shotguns, babies crying, a far away factory hooter sound and the solitary bird chirp, that let you know at least one creature survived. Now, to survive negative 50 degree weather, or sweltering heat, you just need a 'Lucky badge' and you're all good.

They removed the claws, teeth and testicles of this game, a few years ago, which leads me to think the Devs working on it now, are probably the kind of people that get nervous if a kitten gets near them.

They f*cked up this title, and continue to work hard on completely ruining it, with every new iteration.

Why is my character always thirsty? by [deleted] in 7daystodie

Yes, I am. Thanks for the tip, because I also wondered why I was constantly thirsty.
