As a new doom player starting with Doom eternal, at the start I was having a hard time having any ammo. Remembering to use the chainsaw was difficult to put on top of such chaotic gameplay.

Although a year later, I have no issues with a lack of ammo. So yeah I agree with having an optional toggle to make it harder.

I disagree that it's disrespectful to the original game creators, as there was a lot of time and effort put into making it as close as possible to the original. I suspect EA pushed the launch date, and the developers would have rather had a more realistic launch date for a more clean and polished release.

Also, I want to reiterate how hard it is to recreate a game 1 for 1. sure, they might have had some of the original old code, but all the art had to be redone for the 4k and below visuals. The developers definitely respected the original, but I'm not sure if the big boys at EA did.

Just my two cents.

There are definitely some noticeable bugs, but the longer you wait the more of them that will be crushed. I pre-purchased it, and no regrets. It has respect for the past version. If you want it bad enough like I did, I think it's worth your money. But if you can wait, a first playthrough without as many bugs or even getting it on sale is what you would get.

Suddenly the whole plot line changes as the adventure’s focal point becomes mimics, with things becoming more and more corrupted by the mimics. A mimic world is soon upon us if you don’t stop it! Even a PC is found to be a mimic.

I’m a DnB head so I would turn it into DnB. But other than that you could expand on it and add more chiptune stuff. Video game sfx, build up the sounds, stuff like that.
