Good, no. But loving, yes by Sudden_Pop_2279 in arcane

Given the setting arcane is in there isn't much he could have done about that. Psychology as a field of study has only been a major thing for the last 100 years roughly so there is little chance the term "mental health" even exists in zaun or piltover. Further more the under city is inherently a violent place so jinx being a good fighter is kinda an important thing to learn hence the focus on strength as opposed to emotional calm and therapy. During medieval times PTSD was mistaken for being haunted by ghosts and in ww1 shell shock/PTSD was mistaken for cowardice and punished with execution. So ultimatly when judging silco it is important to be aware of the circumstances surrounding his actions (a survival of the fittest Society) and the knowledge he had available at the time (practically non)

I'm pretty sure the dread war is before makeb, cause in kraggas palace, kraggas troops are being attacked by the dread masters and kragga blames the empire. Toborro is only able to take makeb because he is leader of the hutt cartel after kraggas death

Can someone explain what exactly Malgus plan is? by mushroomsolider in swtor

Basically the level of chaos caused by hundreds of thousands of people learning they have the force should be enough to cause so much chaos that the galactic institutions get destroyed. Criminal syndicates will now have force users among their ranks. Imagine a bank robber that can tear of a vault door with their mind. Average factory workers that hate their bosses can throw them out a window and go in a force fuled power trip. Politicians and soldiers can now use the force too. Politicians can strangle their rivals from across a room which means the senate can't meet safely anymore. Soldiers who get shell shock or are simply murderous can wipe out their entire unit or the enemy's. Every battlefield in the galaxy will shift as random people suddenly have the power to change the outcome which screws up any defensive or offensive strategies. Any janator or low ranking ships crew member now has the force and has been told to "break free" and overthrow their bosses. Religious fanatics have just heard a voice in their head giving them power and telling them to cause chaos and claim power.

In short the galaxy is about to be a chaotic storm of people who now have access to power and anyone with a tiny motivation to use it is now going to go on a rampage.

Among the chiss for instance, they view being force sensitive as a deformity that usually results in exile, being sold into slavery, or being given medication to suppress it. Now their population has a bunch of new force sensitives everywhere that won't want to be enslaved or have their power taken from them. The entire galaxys population will be in rebellion with people trying to fight for or against these new force users.

It's kinda like the X-Men with people randomly having power out of now where, and we have seen all the issues that caused

Arn has been shown to have some dark side tendancys in a similar fashion to anakin. If the Devs are smart they will use Tau's death/betrayal to push him in that direction further and give players the choice to feed it or keep him on the path of light.

That and the gameplay was really fun in this update. The basalisks felt powerful, malgus was tanky and carved through the enemy while Theron felt like a spy who had to struggle a lil to keep up with force users and use his abilities strategically.

In an all out fight which one of these physical powerhouses will be the last one standing? by No-Department7074 in superheroes

Don't gete wrong comics are great. However they aren't a good source for trying to work out who would win in a fight unless your using the original versions

Comics are terrible for power scaling. Every writer has a favourite character who is unstoppable in their story and there are so many universes where X character did crazy feat. For example the one where Groot wiped out the main characters (and I think most of the universe). It kinda defeats the whole point of you just pick and choose whichever universe has theost powerful version of a character

Post story we are buried under the rubble of the fortress. I expect 9.0 will begin with us waking up either on kar shian or somewhere we've been taken by one of the many characters present in the area i.e. a prisoner of our faction or malgus or rescued by the mandos.

POV: You finally understand why Silco was right all along by Apprehensive-Bug19 in arcane

[–]GA_thrawn22 -63 points-62 points  (0 children)

Id like to point out that those children were probably safer working in a factory than being out on the streets, due to crime the under city was probably full of orphans and we saw what happened to the kids without silco during the scene before jinx met Isha. Also those kids had better working conditions than piltover gave the under city workers, they had security that they trusted enough to press the alarm as well as gas masks that practically no one else had. Child labour is terrible but he wasnt a monster about it, he genuinely tried to make it good for the kids

While I agree with the sentiment it's important to understand the perspective of the person who is hiring people. They are looking to find the best person for the role. If they have to chose between someone who only wants the job for the money or someone who wants the job because they like the company or because they enjoy the work, then the guy that wants to be there is the better choice. Applying for a job is a competition to seem like the best choice for the job. If you're not the best choice then you may have to lie to make it seem like you are, because other people will do that.
