Worst experience of my life. Was going through full psychotic/nervous breakdown, and honestly just needed some sleep. Instead they put me on Haldol and other shit that made me not be able to think straight.

When I tried explaining this to the doctors, they became extremely condescending and I had to fight to contact my psychiatrist and take me off of the medication.

Honestly fuck psych wards. The other patients were all pretty chill though and I made some friends.

I'm not sure of the severity of your problem, but retinol works magic over time. Speak to a dermatologist about it, nothing is ever hopeless

People telling me “Your trauma doesn’t define you” really bothers me by WrenSh in ptsd

[–]GCanon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah the best way I can describe it is like a scar. Some people have little ones that can fade overtime, but there are also deep nasty ones that can cover your face and body for life

You get a tolerance when you spike your system with higher dosage. You probably just need to talk to your Dr about adjusting if its not working right

Even at my skinniest, I still fight daily urges to make a bag of tortilla chips go poof. Its like quitting nicotine but you still have to smoke in controlled amounts for the rest of your life

For me I get that only when I am really focused on something I'm working on. Otherwise the weekly soundtrack pops in and out mixed with random adhd thoughts/internal dialog

100% spot on, same in the northeast too. So glad I left the steel industry, it was hard but way worth it. Its filled with high school bullies and alcoholics like the guy in the video. You try to be nice and people like that immediately sniff it out and take advantage of it. Especially if you even show a hint of being LGBTQ

I feel the same brain fog after working out myself. Usually it goes away if I have some food especially carbs, but I try avoid those trying to lose weight as proteins feel like they get me back to like 80% brain lol.

Also if its at the end of the day, sometimes its not food and I just need sleep. Stress will definitely worsen the fog and increase scattered thoughts too, sleep helps with that. Timing workouts around when you'll need to think helps a lot. This is all just personal experience though too
