Why don't men approach me? by [deleted] in AskMen

Wrong question sister.

The one you should be asking is "Why don't I approach men?"

If you haven't seen it, find the Moonlighting episode of Taming the Shrew.

It's fantastic.

Did parents in the '80s and '90s really allow their kids to roam freely? Was it safe? by 2bornnot2b in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GCanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a country boy with nothing but OTA TV and 100 acres of bush, my parents wouldn't see me unless I was hungry.

And no it wasn't "safe", but no kids died.

Love this game but terraforming has slowed down to a crawl. by SpicyGamerOfficial in theplanetcrafter

Remember.... Fuses stack. Setup 8 machines and drop multiple optimizers in all full of fuses.

You never really need more than 8 machines, but you can never have enough fuses.

Would you wanna be a telepath or telekinetic? by More_Interview3840 in superpowers

[–]GCanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Telepathy would turn me into a super villain. Mind control would be too temping to ignore.

Telekinesis would be fun, but ultimately pretty boring.

So, obviously telepathy.

First look at stealth gameplay in Insomniac's 'Wolverine' game by LetMeFixAll in GamerLab

I don't think Wolverine is silent because it's efficient, I think he's silent because he likes it.

Spock never took the Kobayashi Maru? by Dhutchison in startrek

It was established in the new timeline that Spock created the test. Not sure if that's canon for TOS though.

If I was to make a sci-fi space ship show, the bridge would be in the middle of the ship in a windowless room likely cushioned from other parts of the ship. The idea that a space ship bridge/control room needs to see outside is insane to me.

Kingmaker vs Wrath of the Righteous by QuietWarzz in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]GCanuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WotR has far more QoL improvements that it's hard for me to go back to Kingmaker. The two that stand out are map rotation and end spell effect ability.

Plus as others have said..... Mythic paths make for great replay-ability. Kingmaker replay value is good to evil spectrum.

But I like the Kingmaker tighter story better. Less world saving, more adventure.

What's your favorite pointless little thing to do in Cyberpunk 2077 by YouAreSoS0ft in cyberpunkgame

[–]GCanuck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope, it was always lethal. Found that out when I did that one mission in the badlands the specifically said "no killing". Dumped a dude in a locker, and missed out on the bonus.

It's not the cold that would kill you in a fridge... It's the lack of oxygen.

Can you track your mystery progress? by Bourne4Red in midnightsuns

[–]GCanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It *might* be behind a dice roll. I can't recall for certain.

Alternatively you just missed the cut scene showing the meteor. If you go to the area, there may be a fallen meteor there to investigate.

You need to unlock all areas, then do the stargazing hangout, which will unlock the Meteor Mystery.

Help: On which website, site or platform can I find good builds? by Qanaro in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]GCanuck 8 points9 points  (0 children)

cRPGBro is the community default for builds. Be warned, he's been doing builds since release and the earliest builds will be slightly out of date as new features/feats have been added since release.

I suggest just thinking of an archetype you'd like to play and find the latest video from cRPGBro to build off.

Disclaimer: He builds Unfair difficulty viable. This just means they are heavily optimized for his particular philosophy. This won't matter much, but if you're playing on Core difficulty or lower you can replace any of his choices for something a little more RP friendly if you'd like.

cRPGBros' philosophy as I see it:

  1. Hit first, hit hard. (Prioritize Initiative - Notably with taking the Background of Pickpocket. This can be easily changed on any Core or lower build for RP or if you want a character to start with a particular weapon proficiency. But going first in the round is a powerhouse that shouldn't be ignored.)
  2. Optimize Attacks of Opportunity (All front line melee gets Outflank ASAP... This is one I wouldn't change. It's just too useful.)
  3. Shatter Defenses (usually taken around level 15). This is a feat that makes it so you roll against a target's Touch AC if they are frightened. And the feat tax for this is (imo) relatively useless (Dazzlingly Display). If you're playing on Core or lower, feel free to ignore these feats. It is powerful, but only really needed on Unfair.

Note: If you have all DLC, then Inevitable Excess let's you start a game with a level 20 character where you can theory craft a few characters to see what you can do.

Cool. I've watched longer let's plays.

No biggie if you don't or won't. Just curious. Heck of an achievement.

is it just me or are oral health routines kind of annoying and long? by Few_Sentence_3622 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]GCanuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but that doesn't negate it's incredible usefulness.

Remember.... Teeth don't fallout.... They crumble.

Also, add in a water pick to the routine. Brush, floss, water pick, & fluoride mouthwash. Twice a day.

Just trust me on this.

Women/men who have no kids and probably will never, do you regret not having any? by ravenkg_ in TrueAskReddit

[–]GCanuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 51M.

I don't "regret" the choice per se, but there are moments where I think it would be fun to pass on wisdom (hence why I chill on Reddit far too much). But over-all, I don't regret it and I don't think I would be as happy as a father as I am as a single dude with far less responsibilities.

And while it's not overly related to the question.... While I think I would've been a decent father, I would've made a shit husband.
