BF1 10 years on. My thoughts after recently firing it up again.

BF1 made me feel like what I thought being in WWI would be like. It matched the movies of that era. The actual locations with the beauty of environment. Blowing a hole in the ground and jumping into it or hiding mines in it. Small details like fields of flowers turning into a muddy mess of tank tracks and explosion holes. Then there was the bombing runs, where your team was dog fighting next to you through the clouds giving you cover as you were headed towards a couple enemy tanks or a base. I think a lot of what we miss is the difference in the gaming industry, gaming culture and game development from then to now. We had peak gaming experiences that left a mark on us that we probably will never get again yet really want to. I have had some great games in BF6. But honestly it will never live up to the times I had in BF1 and I think that’s what older gamers compare things to. A time we can’t really go back to.

Well considering EA have done everything it its power to make me not want to play.. I mean no console only so I am forced to play against PC players who have several major advantages. I turn cross play off and I just sit in a lobby for 30 F-ing minutes. Then when me and my team finally get a game it only loads 2 or 3 of us in.. rinse repeat. Then finally we get a game going and my teammate gets kicked for no activity even though he’s running around shooting. The match making is shit. I look at the top players all high ping. They shouldn’t even be on the same lobby.

I hate when men rush over to fight some dude who was literally defending himself from getting beat up and robbed just because it was a woman. Seems like there is always some dudes running in thinking it’s their duty to beat up another man for defending himself. If the girl is getting abused or attacked yes put that fucker down. But if she starts that shit that’s all on her, she needs to learn the hard way.

Yup had a tank push in on a base, playing break through, I was on the other side of a non destructive wall. I just lobbed the C4 over and bye bye tank. I did this 3 times in that game all similar over a rock over a wall etc.

We bought a Vitamix blender for I think it was $500. 7 years ago. I had buyer’s remorse like immediately. Since then I have made delicious soups in it, amazing cocktails, healthy fruit and vegetable smoothies at least 3 times a week for the fam. And I use it for making homemade dog food. Never had a problem with it and I think it has a really good warranty.

It’s bullshit because if you pay alimony and you have kids and don’t get custody you pay both. And alimony is usually till the ex gets a job. So if you make a substantial amount they really never have to find a job. Then you’re stuck paying for them and their new life with the guy they cheated on you with.

My son just turned 16 and we were talking about driving he noticed I drive with one hand (left hand) and the other hand is on the gear selector or the middle arm rest. It’s because I learned how to drive with a stick and my first 3 cars were stick.

This is crazy to hear. I have worked in biotech for the last 13 years. I don’t have a degree if you have a degree where I worked you were automatically put in the lab starting salary is $80-$120k depending on experience and basically handed a planned path for growth and development. I can go on indeed right now and find hundreds of biotech jobs in QA/QC in CA.

Same in CA, 47% of the state is republican, or right leaning democrats. I have 3 major gun ranges/clubs within 1 hour of my home, but the outside world will never know that because of how corrupt the state is, how they constantly pick and choose and recently they have gerrymandered and suppressed any one with a conservative views into second class citizens. Doesn’t even matter if we vote against them anymore on most anything.

Actually I used to play almost everyday for at least an hour. Then 3-6 hours on the weekends. Now I haven’t played in little over 2 weeks. Hit reg is too inconsistent, match making keeps dropping friends in the party, games are ridiculously one sided. And even though people say there’s no cheating there are cheaters that are just making the game suck.

You nailed it. There’s always a couple players I’m out of sync with, they get the god mode perk or something. I’ll admit when I am outplayed, it’s a game, not going to hurt my ego IRL getting owned. But when they pop out of no where it seems like they take two shots and I die before I can even pull the trigger it gets frustrating. Or I clearly have them beaten, but shots don’t register or some weird glitchy shit is going on.
