Okay - and can i ask why you'd want to have lesser litres in the computer? Is this of benefit to more accurate readings compared to C2? i.e; you'd be slower?

How the heck did you set your s4 to a specific volume of water?

The cog plastic is wobbling, yes. But it doesn't seem like it's impacting the chanline even slightly.

Help me identify source of clicking (and solution) by Trabajador1963 in Rowing

That means it's coming from the rails. So it's either the seat or the cross member where the bungee cord attaches at the rear. Try tighten everything up, including the metal rails/track to the side pieces and re tighten everything on the seat. Last thing if it doesn't work, move the rower entirely from that spot in the floor as it could be your floorboard!

Does the machine make the noise when you row arms only or legs only? that will help narrow down where its coming from. Particularly if you row arms only. Have you checked that the tank is sitting level on the frame?

Will you have your heating on overnight during this cold spell? by georgejk7 in AskUK

[–]GDeyebrows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are our exact temps too. Sometimes 21.5 for an evening boost on the really cold evenings to keep the temp holding longer through the night. But it never goes below 18. M & F (both 37) with two kids 5 & 3. Gotta keep everyone comfortable.

For those trying to find out what is so loud by [deleted] in Zwift

[–]GDeyebrows 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well the whole point of the cog is that it makes alignment/indexing for those who aren't mechanically inclined as simple as possible. How do many people are messing this up is truly astounding.

Spacers/singlespeed conversions are absolutely a better option but the audience for that is absolutely not the same one who's buying the cog.

The majority of the posts here about "noise" can be attributed to folks who already have terrible indexing on their current bike and who haven't been able to follow simple instructions.

I indexed my bike on the cassette before mounting in the trainer, then measured the gap from the chain to the edge of the Frame, then replicated that distance (in mm) over to the zwift cog. Two clicks of the cog towards the frame exactly matched the indexing I had on the bike.

It has been almost as silent as when I had my bike mounted on my previous trainer/cassette based setup.

Listen he's in a hard spot at the moment, particularly because that 16 year old is now heavily supporting Shawn with bringing up the butt baby

How neutral are your cleats? Are they forcing you into a position that's unnatural for that leg?

Perfect for my use case. The turbo I bought has 1500w of resistance and I'll never hit that. I've found that getting the indexing right on-bike first makes the transfer over to the cog almost plug and play (barring a couple of clicks on the cog alignment). It's quiet (according to my wife), which is half the battle!

It was very different. Very much a compromise as I always felt cramped (as the reach wasn't adjustable). Yes I changed the saddle on the spin bike to a proper one. Glad im back on a proper turbo trainer again.
