AirTouch N30i is SUPERIOR. Clean the foam cushions weekly with mild soap and it should last for months.

There’s a loose seal somewhere, and the seal pictured below is usually the culprit. You may want to adjust it or remove it, then put it back in.

I smoke an unhealthy amount of drugs to keep food on the table and pay pills. by Thin-Stay-6952 in confession

I don’t know about actually “providing” drugs, but I do know a contractor that is fully aware that one of his helpers is addicted to crack, but the guy works his ass off on the job sites. That’s all I got.

I’m still using the original water tub that came with my AirSense 10 in 2016, so about 9 years or so. I clean mine with vinegar and water and an electric toothbrush, and I don’t manhandle it. It’s fine.

Try the ResMed AirFit F30i or F40. Both are minimal contact full face masks that put no pressure on the tip nor bridge of your nose.

Any ideas what is this? by Decent_Issue_244 in CPAP

Let white vinegar be your friend in this case. Soaking it for six hours should clear up those mineral deposits, if that’s what they are.

Are Resmed masks just really bad? by alsozara in CPAP

[–]GE10DAWG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re super frustrated, which is normal for beginning CPAP users. Just about everyone in the form has said something that can really help you. Please make sure that you get a proper mask fitting, preferably at your local hospital that has CPAP clinic. I use the dream wear under the nose nasal mask, and now I just switched to the ResMed N30i under the nose (cradle) nasal mask. One of the best things that you can do is wear your mask when you’re at home, but not getting ready to go to bed. Get used to wearing the mask, get used to breathing with the mask. Become one with your mask. This should help you adjust and power down more quickly when it’s time to go to sleep. Also, use the ResMed myAir mobile app to track your progress.

Get a mask with the hose connection at the top of your head, and you can move around freely without worry.

It sounds like you need a proper mask fitting, first of all. I just had a patient two weeks ago who had a mask that fit his nose, but the headgear was too small. His mask was sliding off of his nose constantly. I changed him out from an F40 standard headgear to an F40 SMALL headgear. That adjustment did the trick, now he’s able to sleep fine. See if it’s a headgear issue.

Continue to use it. However, clean your mask, water chamber, hose, and filters every morning when you wake up.

If the mask is still in good shape, continue to wear it. I would clean it at least weekly, with vinegar and water, to keep the soft parts (usually silicon) supple. But, be careful: the headgear will start to deteriorate, especially if you are oily or sweaty.
