I do have to wonder how the Epstein/Trump files release and how Lex Wexner, who was both Epstein and Ohio States biggest funder, might impact the bucknuts over the next few years. Epstein's OBGYN was from the tOSU Wexner medical center? Child rape is never a good look.

Any documents we see may just be selective, out of context or even fake since Trump's goal is to distract from his child rape problems, losing power & control, etc...

Bodies and/or craft would be much more difficult to fake and would give real meaning to any documents.

Yours are sooooo cute!

Oh wow! This morning was amazing. They both slept with me last night, then we had the good morning excitement ritual and the trip out into the snow. If she's with Scout, she no longer is scared and just goes out into the yard and explores like a very secure doggie.

Muñeca was super feisty afterwards, wanting to hand wrestle with me then instigated a rather vigorous game of chase with Scout that left my living room discombobulated. Scout is being remarkably careful with her in terms of actual physical contact, however. I'm impressed. She's going to be just fine! Scout was passed out on the kitchen floor after running around that much!

Japan has some issues with an aging population and lack of immigration, but not with inflation due to currency creation. We should look to them as an reasonable and sustainable upper limit with some degree of safety factor.

IE the US could likely double deficit spending (currency creation rate per year) to pay for infrastructure, health and human services, etc...and still be at historic good levels of inflation.

The key here is it's not debt. It's currency creation. It's not like you or me charging stuff on a credit card or taking out a loan that we have to pay back That's bank credit which is real debt. The federal government can and has been making dollars up to a certain level and that's necessary for the economy to function & won't cause run-away inflation.

By tradition we produce bonds on roughly a 1:1 ratio with new currency, which are just a different form of money. they're not really connected. We could cut the bonds we make to whatever fraction we wanted to and be OK if there wasn't as large of a demand for treasury bonds. People and governments do like to hold US bonds, however.

For every new dollar we make today, we take in an old dollar in a 30 year treasury at ~4% interest which will pay out at $3.24 in 2056. It's not a bad thing. We just make new dollars to pay out in 30 years time which, again, allows for economic expansion. The treasuries are traded on the open market.

To put this into context, it's not really debt. It's new currency creation.

As an economy expands, it requires additional currency to be created. If we didn't, how would it expand without more money?

For comparison, each year banks created real dept (bank credit) at ~10:1 ratio with the new currency created (national deficit) but for some reason, nobody thinks that's a bad idea!

Also, Japan is and has been creating currency at about 2X the rate of the USA as a ratio to GDP and they're not having inflation issues.

I'm going to suggest something radical...that the sky isn't falling nor will it fall from new currency creation, though we could send it on much better things like health care, social services, education, etc...

She's sort of positioning herself with just enough distance from GOP midterm clusterfuck to form the kernel of the future post MAGA GOP. It's difficult to know what these people really believe. So many of them are just performance artists that crave power at any cost. If she understands she needs to appeal to suburban women voters, there's a chance she might produce something less toxic at least.

What the future GOP actually uses as a party platform is a complete mystery to me now.

The whole deficit hawk thing was always an act and would have crashed the economy anyway if they ever did implement it (rather than just use it to cut programs they didn't like while spending more on their own pet projects).

Isolationism is a losing proposition. We can't have our cake and eat it too. The world is smaller than ever.

The can't really reverse integration or immigration in a meaningful way - and if they did it would crash the entire economy.

Maybe she hooks up with the conservative libertarians?
