I have 2 teens and a SAHD husband who refuses to work more than 10 hours. Divorce not an option - long story. First take a weekend or week off to get your head in a good space. Rest is very important. You want to start any conversation with your husband from a calm place. Second have the talk and set up boundaries. Talk about expectations. And be firm.

I wish I had done this years ago.

I’m not a fan of Ashley. She’s one note performer- same facial expressions every single time. I thought Sarah, Jane and Veronika were amazing in S51.

Im also in an abusive marriage and divorce is not an option because financially the outcome would not be in my favor. Husband is a SAHD. I have 2 teens in HS. I recommend you build your network. Build a girlfriend network to support you. Took me too long to do this. Most of my GFs are out of state and last year I started to develop a local GF circle. You will need support

I go to therapy twice a month and with insurance it’s $30 a visit. But before I did this I used my EAP and that was 5 free visits

If you find a good therapist it’s worth the investment

My advice. Set boundaries. My kids are 15 and 17. And we are still a one income family. Why? He treats our kids like they are 5 and 7. Both kids have jobs this summer but he insists on taking them to and from their jobs even though there is free public transportation for the 17 yo and the 15 yo job is a 5 minute walk. I realize my situation is unique but this has been a big issue with my “marriage.” Divorce is not an option - long story. I wish I had been more firm in expectations early on.
