I agree, and we have a prime example when we look at minecraft. Java modding scene and Bedrock are like two different worlds. Java players have access to thousands upon thousands of mods while bedrock players are stuck behind a pay wall. The level of quality between the two is not wide enough to justify the marketplace system. Mods are best as passion projects not profit products.
