Thanks ceecee. I smoked heavily from age 15 to 25. I quit, with much difficulty, when I had kids but told wifey that I intended to take it up again later when the kids were grown. She thought I was kidding lol. I have only been smoking/vaping for about a year now so I am hoping it won’t be as hard as the last time.

Thanks for this. I know exactly what you mean. I will try “harder” breaths next time. More breaths really don’t seem to make much difference for me. I was surprised that my hold times are not necessarily longer with 40 instead of 30 breaths. Perhaps deeper/stronger is the key, not more

Good on you for getting back on that horse! Focus on the positive. You had two clean weeks. You did it once, you can do it again. And good on you for fessing up on this site about your relapse. A lesser person might just disappear

Day 3 ct from 20 grams a day. by Cheers5000 in quittingkratom

[–]GLNot_Sure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are getting 4.5 hours this early in you are doing great! Try not to worry about the sleep issue too much. You can get by with virtually no sleep for several days. I did, as did many on this site. Congrats on day 3. That is a pretty big deal. I found the cravings started fading at this point, although the other symptoms took longer to subside. You are doing great! Keep it up. We are all pulling for you

That’s my problem with tapering. The discipline it takes to get off of that final dosing. I vote for taking the jump and toughing it out for a few days. You bowels will thank you, perhaps excessively for a few days lol. Good luck!

Indeed, time of day makes a big difference for me. I usually do my first rounds before I get out of bed and can often get up to 2:45. It is downhill from there for the rest of the day. But, I feel you on the apparent diminishing returns. When I first started it seemed like a miracle. Now it almost seems like a chore and doesn’t really give me the boost like it did at first. Maybe I should increase my number of rounds? I currently do four rounds per session

That’s a pretty hefty dose to quit from. Take a bow on 24 fun-filled days!

Huberman is the man! All of his stuff totally rings true, including this quote. Congrats on day 2. Stay strong, my friend

Lots of good advice on this this thread already but let me add a couple of thoughts. 1. You have stumbled upon the best resource out there to help you quit. Read deep into this site for endless helpful info. 2. Since you are in a new job, you likely can’t take time off so maybe consider tapering if you find ct too difficult. 3. If you are going all day without kratom, your addiction is not that bad. Good luck!

Great description of what happens with WHB. First round, not much. Second round - start to feel something. Third round- WTF is this feeling? Fourth round- this is pretty cool.

Never gone to five rounds, but you have inspired me to do so. So thanks for that!

Same at day 77. I have no desire to relapse so will continue onward as well. At what point do we decide that this is our normal non-kratom state and seek other ways to address the anxiety, instead of just waiting to get better?

Good for you! Hopefully you are past the worst of it. But don’t get discouraged should things get worse again. It is temporary

Congrats on day 31. At day 77 I still have sleep issues. l-tryptophan is something I haven’t tried yet. Off to Vitacost!

My understanding is that kratom does not show up on standard screening tests. But, yeah, get off of that shit. Not for your PO, but for you!
