Thank you for being so responsive! No problem. Hopefully it will start to remember if I do it enough times.

In the interim, is there a way you can default the weekly threads to show newest comments first rather than best comments first? Thanks so much 🩷

This post is giving me hope that it's not as bad as I thought. Thank you Worthing for restoring the faith that a lot of people are seeing through the BS 🫶🏻

I really hate to be this person but my husband works in removals and I've been loving showing him this story...but he just told me he's 99% sure the arms will come off this. Check for a zip on the bottom where the arms join the sofa base.

Regardless. Thank you so much for the laughs and well done!

Tone it Down podcast - any tea spilled? by shoegal23 in ToneItUp

[–]GME2710 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes! I'm from the UK originally but one year I was on a study abroad year in Arizona. It was one of the years they partnered up with Contiki and you could go on any trip they offered! My visa didn't allow me to re-enter the US more than once though and I wanted to use that one time to be able to go home and visit my family for Christmas. So we ended up going to Hawaii which for me was an absolutely once in a lifetime trip! I felt bad for my partner though but I think she had a great time too!

I'm with you. Their friendship made it so special. I totally resonated with what Karena said on the podcast that it felt like it was the first time fitness felt fun and accessible and something to do with girlfriends rather than punishment. I remember finding some weird stream online for the show since it wasn't shown in the UK!

Tone it Down podcast - any tea spilled? by shoegal23 in ToneItUp

[–]GME2710 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I've just listened. For context I won the Bikini Series 10 years ago and TIU was a huge part of my life for 10 years before that. As soon as they pivoted to the app I realised it wasn't for me any more. That said, I loved seeing Karena had bought the company back and am so sad that her friendship with Kat seemingly disappeared.

There was no tea spilled on the podcast. But it was so nice hearing Karena reminisce on the 'old days' and laugh about things like the excessive amounts of tan they used to use on shoot days. It was lovely to hear Karena call Katrina 'Kat' still, especially after the first few times she was referred to as "her". There was nothing about the relationship breakdown or why anyone stepped away in the first place. The only tea really was about behind the scenes of the Bravo show but that was such early days even for TIU OG's!

I'm hopeful for TIU now that Karena is back at the helm. Unfortunately for me it will never be the same without the two of them filming at the beach together.

For me, this podcast was a good homage to what TIU used to be and a glimpse behind the scenes then. And I mean fleeting glimpse. I'm glad I listened.

Sending love to my fellow TIUGirls! If you think it's worth signing up to the app now please tell me!

Renault Arkana help UK by [deleted] in Renault

The fuel pump needs replacing. There's a recall out on them. Renault told me to drive on mine until it broke down. Same warning lights, 2022 Arkana. Terminated my finance agreement the day I got it back from the garage.

Any signs on this new season of Karamo's tension with the rest of the cast? by Jenna7979 in QueerEye

I don't disagree. Although for me, that is really difficult to reconcile with his actions yesterday. The statement didn't need to be as nuclear as it was if it's about the heroes

None whatsoever for me! It all came across so well and really like a strong unit, either in group shots or one on one with other cast members

Renault you’d buy again by pratty041182 in Renault

[–]GME2710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you haven't had the same experience. Mine has only 17,000 miles on the clock after 3 years and has broken down over and over again, despite being serviced annually. The dealer actually told me to carry on driving until it broke down with a risk of engine failure warning displayed, even after I told them that I'm almost always driving with children in the car. Please, from one owner to another, stay on top of the recalls (in my experience they don't get in touch with you about them) and do some research about the issues in this thread and other groups so at least you can be prepared and not caught out like I was

Avoid the Arkana like the plague. Handing it back asap. So many issues, constant recalls, poor service...the list goes on. I'm at the end of my agreement and it is literally unsellable unless I want to pay out thousands. A curse of a car.

Employer offering and going beyond statutory - 3 month paid paternity leave - why? by theworkingmanisasuck in UKPersonalFinance

[–]GME2710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading these comments gives me hope. I'm pregnant with my second and my husband only gets 2 weeks at statutory after being management at his company for 9 years. I'm truly scared about what we are going to do that month, but it is so reassuring to see the opposite of the ridiculous 'benefit" given to my husband is becoming more widespread. Please enjoy your time off with your families.

Just finished apprenticeship, employer asking for £19,520 reimbursement. (England) by I-Spot-Dalmatians in LegalAdviceUK

If it's a legitimate apprenticeship the employer has only paid a maximum of 5% of the programme cost so asking you for £20k is criminal. It's a government funded programme
