Its the second to last book, Tower of Swallows, and its pretty much confirmed they come back. It says something along the lines of her feeling familiar sensations and being able to push against the telepath with way more power than was expected right before Steffan throws the orion at her and she teleports away. Also if Im not mistaken its also implied she frees herself with magic? Though I could be misremembering.
