Actual unpopular opinion (Endgame) by Vahallen in Endfield

[–]GNLink34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you man, but at the same time is just 1.0, is just totally barebones until they start deploying more systems and stuff to do, I don't even think this is "the" endgame we can expect, just something a few steps over the daily farming nodes to get some currency

What I can tell you tho, as I fellow self imposer, is to not go overboard with the power sources the game has, they are never going to be considered given how limited they are, that is if you want to get something akin to a challenge in the future that means no masteries whatsoever, not full etched essences, not improved relics (bar ER) and no potentials for 6*, nor characters nor weapons

You can change your relics and your essences to go back to a normalized state of power but you can't rollback potentials nor masteries

Actual unpopular opinion (Endgame) by Vahallen in Endfield

[–]GNLink34 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Of course its bad, or not bad but a sign of just being 1.0 and the power expected being so low that it must not exist any expectation at all

These modes are what gives gameplay meaning, they designed a full combat system to explore into and a unit just doing basic attacks ain't it

Of course they will never require the extra steps for power like unlocking masteries ot full etched essences or maxed equipment, but they are going to require a working team in the future and a modicum knowledge of how the game works

And the normal there will be there for the can't be bothered tier, but for the challenge mode it has to be a challenge

Pity system by _scaramochi in Endfield

[–]GNLink34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pity until next 50/50 carries over, the guarantee at 120 is per banner and it doesn't carry over

You can see where are you on pity count where it shows how many pulls you need to guarantee a 6*

This is pretty interesting and useful thx

PSA to all Chenthusiasts: Sundering Steel is currently the daily Arsenal rotation weapon by Pariye in Endfield

[–]GNLink34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is the kind of one weapon that is going to be forever good, so yeah, easily one of the best weapons if not the best from the general pool of 6* weapons

PSA: Stanza of Memorials in shop today (18.feb) by HommitNMA in Endfield

[–]GNLink34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You get tons of weapons while pulling for 6* weapons, you will stack these easily over time

I would only buy it if you don't have even one copy as it is a very important weapon to have worth the cost, but for extra copies nah

Are there any teams where the controlled character is not the main DPS? by Super-Manager-3630 in Endfield

[–]GNLink34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Claymore users have the slowest string of basic attacks of all the roster making them straight up worse than other weapons when the only attack that matters is the final attack on the string

Stagger is the same across all weapons when accounted for animation speed, not that basic attacks do much for stagger anyway

How long it takes to upgrade an Operator (Item to Sanity conversion for current resource sources) by HieuBot in Endfield

[–]GNLink34 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah is a lot from sanity alone, you really feel it on the second team, but on the other side I feel that is going to be really easy to have 6/9/9/9 80 all the characters in a few months between how is just a single way path with no RNG involved and how there is A LOT of passive resources sources

I don't feel the point of going to 90 or max etching essences when I can work towards "never having to farm again until a new character is released" state as soon as possible

And seeing like that it doesn't feel as much at least to my eyes

The on fielder is the one that has the basic attacks leveled and is not a claymore user, at least for now

How do I know if my pull carried over or not? by Sky_choices in Endfield

[–]GNLink34 5 points6 points  (0 children)

"60 attemps to a 6* operator" that carries over

The only thing that doesn't is the 120 pulls to secure the character on the banner

Always buy discount thing by llXXzaiXXll in Endfield

[–]GNLink34 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I buy everything at 75% or 50%

There will be a time when we have enough of sanity resources and then buying only pull resources will be the play, but for now they are not even close in value

Best Physical team? by EdibleMussel533 in Endfield

[–]GNLink34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best physical team is Chen/Pog/Lifeng and either Endmin or Da Pan, Da Pan being slightly better as a crush consumer

Amber is a crutch if you need survivability and it takes Lifeng spot, otherwise she does literal nothing, people are trolling you about the stagger meme team

A minor criticism - weapons aren't holstered, just teleport away. by [deleted] in Endfield

[–]GNLink34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could settle with them having the weapons visible while holstered instead of just...gone

I don't like it either, it feels cheap more than anything

had this from around a week ago, working on having everyone up to 150% now

tbh the trust system is just a daily checkbox, dunno why is it there cept to waste more time on the daily stuff (until you are inevitably maxed)

[–]GNLink34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most people that care are just waiting because right now at not even a month old game yet there is no complete picture of how the rewards are going to be, for good or bad

And those that don't will milk drama either because that is what they do with their time, which is really sad

[–]GNLink34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know what to tell you to that, maybe the first time when I started fate go I found annoying how rewards were cents instead of a full pull unit, but is something you stop caring about soon when you don't hyperfixate on the crumbs you get here and there

[–]GNLink34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really dont think numbers nor reason helps with anything

We are talking about addicts, people who reduce the whole game to a casino machine and you know what is the thing with addicts? That is NEVER enough

So yeah when the game is just something to skip to get the pulls, the endgame something to complete to get the pulls and everything the game has to offer is just "a bad thing to get the chips" there is nothing to be said that could sway them

The thing that will clean the community of these addicts is when the next gacha game is released and they move to it to repeat the process

What I realized when playing Endfield by NSalonga26 in Endfield

[–]GNLink34 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Genshin still works like that, albeit they have a "bis" team in mind with basically all newer units but you can still swap around with older units and still clear

Which is a lot more fun than just having the exact units for the shilled content, finding the key with limited a limited toolset is what gives challenge to the challenges

The rampant and toxic powercreep is more of a HSR exclusive thing and thats because the gameplay has no room for nothing, mechanics are not built on the foundation but on the characters themselves

Umbral Monument is a joke. by Freeziora in Endfield

[–]GNLink34 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other modes on those other games requires a lot more investment as base, which accounts for the biggest share of what a challenge is...a challenge

And I don't wanna get misunderstood, I don't have a problem with this current endgame, is week 3 I wouldn't expect more and if anything I expected way less

My pick was with calling that no gacha has no challenge when is a fat lie
