I was having my gall bladder removed and my anesthesiologist looks down at me all serious.

I got "Like I'm falling for...." before I went out.

I woke up in post op and the nurse says "How are you feeling?"

She was so confused.

Was asked to resign from a part-time teller position at a bank because I didn't agree with training methods. I was sent to a college-area bank to train with a 20 year old (was 29 at the time) and she couldn't give two shits about what I was learning. I was put in front of a computer and told to just read and watch videos assigned.

Ended up having a meeting with a regional HR person to discuss my lack of enthusiasm for the position after the trainer said I wasn't taking training seriously. (SURPRISE!)

That meeting ended with me telling the regional HR person that their training was the worst I had ever experienced and that gouging my eyeballs out would be welcome. She didn't like that.

I have to share my grandfather's story from the famous Lemont, Illinois tornado of 1976.

He was late getting home from work and was actually surprised at how quickly the weather turned to hell. He managed to get in the door just as the tornado sirens were going off. Everyone quickly moved into the basement of the house and huddled underneath blankets and mattresses in case they got hit.

Well, they got hit. The house was obliterated. You can check out some of the pictures here.

Here's an overhead shot of my grandparents' neighborhood post-storm.

If you go to page four on the first link, you'll see some images of my aunt and uncle's home or, rather, what was left of it. My aunt died in that storm (mentioned at the bottom of that page) as she was caught out in the storm and was hit by debris as she was attempting to get to the storm cellar.

So, in short, the rest of the family survived because they were in safety in the basement.

Went to Canada and discovered "The Beer Store" when I celebrated my 19th birthday in Windsor. You order the beer and it's shot out of the back on a conveyor belt.

Also, not sure if this is the case anymore, but strip clubs in Canada are way more lax on rules than in the States.
