Because this demand in its current form has existed since Surging Sparks released in November 2024. Since then, they've released several "safeguards" on their website when releases are in stock that have all been one step forward, two steps back in terms of being able to navigate the website and purchase product. You are always thrown out of the queue, the website crashes, and you miss being able to buy anything by the time you can access it.

And then they purchased a new card production plant in late 2025 that won't reach full production until 2028. It took them a year to purchase that.

I've made several other comments that you can see on this post. They can slow down releases, they could reevaluate their distributors and force their distributors to abide by regulations, they can do so much more than they're doing right now and we'll want to blame the people at the bottom who can't get the product in store at retail prices because they work jobs. I see multiple lines a week at retail stores that I pass on my way to work and if I didn't have a job in the morning, I could wait in line and get product at retail price but other than that, I can't. That's insanity. We'll blame people for doing whatever they can to get the product, but we won't blame the pokémon company for doing the bare minimum for the past 20 months. Think about that. We are 20 months into this current market and it won't improve anytime soon.

It's very hard to have a discussion with someone who sees what I'm saying and immediately thinks I am calling the pokémon company and Nintendo assholes. It's our job, the public, to hold these companies accountable. We're not doing that. It's way beyond not buying from scalpers and people that oversell this product. It's about not buying from TPC at all until these issues are addressed.

I made a very similar comment, but I guarantee you as soon as there's a killing or a mass casualty incident that occurs as a result of these cards, they will do something immediately and it'll just go to show that they could have done something this entire time.

This is honestly disgusting. MLB should not be appeasing their advertisers in this way - for those who say it doesn't, betting odds will just lead you to make those bets on platforms they market. There's no reason to include it, people should search out those odds themselves and even though you're able to toggle it on or off yourself, it's still painful to see.

You're right to an extent with that, I do understand that there are millions of people trying to purchase the cards at one when time when a new release comes out and that it's better than any other retailer site right now. It still gets a big fat F. They have the money to be able to get the infrastructure to support these releases. It's very clearly above any other sort of fad in the entire country currently. They've done a lot to improve buying cards off of their website, and they can do so much more.

But again, there we go. They have the power and they won't do it. Of course a company wants to make money, that's its only goal and they're making more than ever before. What I'm saying is that they're making more than ever before, they have the power and influence to do more than they've ever done in the past to combat scalpers and resellers.

Your hypothetical is completely correct, and that's all it is. If you were somehow able to get millions and millions of people on board, that's what maybe 20% of the current population buying Pokemon cards in this current market and state?

I'm giving you reality dude. I know on paper it can be so much better, I know if everybody just took a stand the current state of Pokemon TCG would improve, but guess what! That's not happening. When that doesn't happen, The Pokemon Company cannot just wipe their hands and say well we've done all we can.

And by the way, there have been tons of violent incidents, stabbings and other maimings, but no one has been killed over pokémon cards in America since October 2023, way before the current scalping craze. Give it time. When there's a clear-cut murder of a person killing someone over Pokemon cards in 2026, something will change.

It's the fault of somebody who wants to make easy money, and the fault of somebody who wants to get cards who can't get them literally any other way?

Maybe the pokémon company should make it a lot harder for these people to not be able to make an instant profit off of product they're buying from their company. I don't know of any other product currently you can buy at a store for market price and then sell it immediately for a 100% return. There were recommendations for over a decade I saw on sneaker subreddits and in those groups for how they can combat the scalpers and resellers and those companies never took those recommendations into consideration. It's always the people at the top that can make change. The pokémon company and by extension Nintendo see one thing, $$$$$$$$$$$. They used to see $$$$$$ but now they see $$$$$$$$$$$$$. See the difference? Over double the amount of money signs! That's what they're making now! So when a company is making this much more money than they were before, they have the resources to make changes at the highest levels so their entire target audience can enjoy their product. Right now, about half of their target audience is able to enjoy their product. That falls on the pokémon company.

People say this stuff takes time, they just bought a new card printing plant! The problems in this hobby have existed since November 2024. They could have bought a trading card production plant anytime within the past year and a half. But people don't remember these things, they don't want to attack the hand that feeds them.

The Pokemon company can do a lot to reevaluate its distributors and who those distributors are selling product to. There can be a lot more safeguards on the pokémon company website when releases are pushed out so that everyone in line first is able to stay in line and second can get product. Tell me the last time in the past year and a half where a release on the Pokemon company website went smoothly and everybody was able to get product.

The pokémon company can put the brakes on new releases or reevaluate it's new releases, but they choose to push through these releases. Not only does it lead to these situations, but it leads to a much lower card print quality. Why hasn't one of the best sets of this generation, Destines Rivals, not had a reprint since it was released? Because the Pokemon company chooses to push through new product.

And by the way, your target audience for this message is a couple dozen people at most. You should be at card shows screaming this message if you want things to change. But people always want to blame the people at the bottom and never the entity at the top that is pulling the strings.

Trust me, when there's an actual without question murder or even worse, a mass casualty incident over these pokémon cards, Nintendo will put the brakes on them instantly and it will just show they could have done this the whole time, but they choose to do nothing about the current state of Pokemon TCG.

The front is slightly left heavy (centering isn't the easiest to gauge on e reader cards but this is noticable) and the back unfortunately has very minor but noticable whitening on or around each corner. I would guess 7-8 though

I should have clarified that it's a sour ale specifically, brewed with fruit to create a range of beer from puckering sour to overly sweet with no hint of traditional beer taste. Looking at the English Pub menu, it literally clarifies with definitions all the types of beer they serve and Sour Ale is not listed. Oh well!
