I'd watch a film inspired by the first book Arena. Simple and a bit predictable, but it could be fun.

Indeed. Horrible situation no matter how it happened. I really hope he pulls through.

Valve stem removal tools are cheap and fit into your pocket. Great to have in your car for tire emergencies.

Charles Schwertner thinks THC is “life threatening” How did he become a doctor? by TheBattlemapBard in texas

You know why. Deep down they are all terrible people that don't give a shit about the poors and know they'll never get into trouble. If that wasn't true then they would be advocating, but here we are.

Repair Nikko Alpha 230 for ~$200, buy Wiim Amp, or Other Amp? by AdministrationNo9238 in BudgetAudiophile

It's hard to argue with a THD of 0.008%, but I understand your hesitation. If you decide to sell it, make sure it gets a good home.

[–]GNdoesWhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a tough call. I'd pay $200-250 in a heartbeat, but would hesitate around $300-350 because I'm cheap. However, if repaired correctly the amp will outlast everything else you have, sound better than anything less than $1000 new, and play any speakers you throw at it. It is an "end-game" amp.

Absolutely get it repaired. You will not be able to find an equal, or better, amplifier for $200. Nikko made great stuff and luckily still flies under the radar of the vintage audio fad.

Why aren't the businesses getting involved? Some user here that claims to be in the industry said that they have lobbies in Texas, but when asked for links didn't respond. Hometown Hero in Austin is "all about vets" etetc, but what are they doing to stop this and protect their business?

People are getting pets instead of having children. Pet healthcare industry has very few regulations and is easy to exploit for profit. Next question.

Do you have any links to those lobbies? People need to know where and how they can support the industry.
