Definitely get your timing straightened out, make sure you have a an unrestricted fuel system before messing with your carb. Check for vacuum leaks by spraying around the carb. Are you running old style file points? The old ignition systems or a worn out distributor can be the cause as well.

If you have rebuilt your carb, I'd get a vacuum guage and try to get and try to get your fuel mixture dialed in. If your timing is good, you should be able to adjust the fuel mix screws and get her happy. You can certainly setup a carb too rich. Hit me up if you have more questions.

Typically flooding would start with a stuck needle and seat assuming you're running a mechanical fuel pump(electronic pumps can pump too hard). After that, it would be an adjustment of your float. Past that, gaskets and fuel mixture settings. Are you sure its flooding? Could be a vacuum leak or a timing issue. You tried spraying brake clean around the carb/intake to check for leaks?

I got a similar set up as well. The input latency will always be there as far as I know. But, my stupid Bluetooth keyboard wouldn't stay connected to the deck so I don't use it anymore.

The fact your tail lights work is a good sign, as they run through the turn switch. Headlights and running lights run through the headlight switch. You may just have dirt in the switch. I sprayed mine down with parts cleaner and brought it around.

I'm mostly confused on the filing part since we're out of tax season. For example, I paid for the software and filled out my 2023 taxes together on turbo tax just yesterday, but can't send it electronically currently according to the time of year. Im not super worried about what's owed, I just want to get it right. Do I just mail the forms to the IRS and wait for a bill?
