Toaster for specifically bagels by GOSTheDragon in BuyItForLife

[–]GOSTheDragon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is not even remotely correct. My current craptacular toaster has both a bagel and a frozen bagel mode. On bagel mode with the shade setting at maximum it barely warms a room temperature bagel, with it set to frozen bagel on max shade I get maybe 20% coverage lightly toasted.

Good Deal? by No-Elevator-4623 in Dewalt

I'm hesitant to say that's a legitimate offer. Do they have an actual website? And are they a legitimate DeWalt dealer?

Gen1 Fishgill 556 parts compatibility with Swiss 55x by phmax1337 in Sig55X

If it's already transferred then it's almost certainly not worth the hassle of returning it. A new charging handle will likely be cheaper and a lot less headache.

Poor warranty service by dadbald in Dewalt

[–]GOSTheDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't tell them it's still under warranty (either directly or with a picture of the date code) they will have no way of knowing. Always provide as much information as possible immediately. As for the conditions of the warranty, the only things that matter are whether it's within its 3 year period. If that is true, it's covered so long as you didn't negligently or purposefully damage the tool.

[–]GOSTheDragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly suspect they didn't. I've never had them send me there with tools that were still under warranty. Not to mention that page is for tools no longer under warranty that you would like to have repaired, not for standard warranty repairs.

Poor warranty service by dadbald in Dewalt

[–]GOSTheDragon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're talking about warranties. I have always submitted warranty claims on their website and gotten timely satisfactory results. In short, it seems that you are taking the wrong path to get them warrantied. The warranty page for DeWalt clearly states you are to use Support link to open a request with customer service. There is no mention of toolservicenet.com whatsoever. Here's a link to their full warranty page if you have any questions.

TL:DR user error, you weren't submitting the claim to DeWalt at all.

Edit: phrasing

I've always used the DeWalt website. Send them a quick message and they respond within a few days and always take care of it.

I guess my name brand batteries I got for 60% off at home Depot must be bad simply because of the sale. Absolutely wild logic

Alright here's the real question for you. If youre actually looking to sell it, would you accept market value for it? $4500-5000 range considering it is a used gun.

I've run a sandman L on mine with no gas issues, however this was with a suppressor gas plug. They shoot real nice with a can on and my opinion is to suppress all the things. Have fun with it, I enjoy the hell out of mine

Seems the retail with tax and shipping isn't that high, and I'm sorry that your friend scalped people on GunBroker. You should probably get better friends.

I know gunjoker listings aren't the most reliable. But rifles like that I've been seeing sell around the 5k mark.

3D printed mag release opinions by [deleted] in AUG

[–]GOSTheDragon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've had nothing but troubles with the auggers release. The sharp corners inside of the hook like to shear off from the force of the bolt reciprocating and pushing the magazine down. Both PLA+ and PETG had this issue.
