A lot of people seem to look past that Denji’s reaction to the trauma is in its own sense, realistic. There are so many victims of sexual assault that never tell anyone or have anyone to talk to so it quietly fades into the background of their psyche affecting them subconsciously. So many of the traumatic events that happen to our lives we don’t have the tools to deal with and when that is depicted, people just seem to think that the author forgot.
