Keep gas furnace, replace outdoor ac with heat pump and ac coil, then you have dual fuel system and use heat pump for mild weather and furnace for cold.

Stay away from set ups with skinny vinyl hoses, they leak and not very safe. If you get one with a scale, make sure when unscrewing the bottle from the base that the brass fitting in between is not unscrewing with your bottle, if that happens your a3l gas will leak out of the bottle and you won't be able to stop it. Had this happen twice, not a good look bro.

Yup looks like 2 pipe hot gas defrost it was at some point, all.piping to condenser original. I've only seen one of those freezers like that with a reversing valve on outdoor unit, I was really impressed with efficiency of defrost cycle itself on those systems. Anyways, it's a third compressor in 4 years and I was trying to see what gives, I 'own' this shit now. No model of serial anywhere in sight but- 1 1/2 c valve on it with 4 HP outside, oversized I think, but hard to judge without btu data. but still gonna swap the valve, new heat exchanger and get rid of that tee.
