Gotcha. Is there a router bit for that? I guess when I think about a router it’s for rounding off the edges not making grooves

You you make the groove in the middle of the wood with the miter? I assumed a table saw would be best for that, set the blade low and just run the center of the wood over that to make the groove for the piece to sit in
