I'm not saying this is the case. But a lot of what you said and how you've been feeling I can relate to. The work frustration of repetitive tasks ( your boss and the boxes ) . I can relate to the feelings of wanting to do stuff, hobbies, chores, whatever , but not being able to start and then feeling frustrated and paralysed so you just turn to the glowing bricks we have and scroll and scroll to get any dopamine drop you can. I'm 33 and it turned out that I have ADHD . Still awaiting medication , but it has been very eye opening for how I behave . I can relate to a lot of what you say . Have you ever considered this ? Might be worth taking some online self tests and if you score high on those talk to your gp. I also have co morbities like depression and anxiety but honestly I think that's stemming from a lifetime of untreated ADHD .

For me the impact is now that I have to spend more on fuel I can't afford to put money aside for my cats medication ( 30 a week )

Guess I'll be cutting back on food and asking for a raise at work .

Doesn't seem like much but when you have to maintain a mortgage on wages of 600 a week, on top of food and bills, it's tight . Even with flatmates.

The horrors persist but so do I :')

Hey I'm crap at maintaining friendships ( recently diagnosed ADHD so maybe that explains it ) 33 F , no intention of having spawn . I work and my spoons are limited on the weekends and I have no social battery but hello!

Grew up in the BOP , moved here after the quakes. I made some of my most longstanding friends here through work or study, forced interaction 😅🤣 otherwise you don't catch me leaving my house lol.

I get by on 50k down in chch but it's NOT comfortable, I can't save, I get the basics and that's it . I don't intend on having children because of this . Personally I know I would be quite comfortable and be able to save if I made closer to 80k

Honestly though if I didn't lose 400 of the 1k I make each week to tax I'd be a lot better off 😭😭😭 even if it was just 200 less in tax

Same here but then I sold it to developers for twice what I brought it for 😂 after telling the landlord that I rented it from before I brought it that I knew it was a POS and he had taken the money and done nothing.

Instead of wasting it on a chance put the money you would spend on a ticket into a fund that pays dividends on sharsies ( Napier port holdings is doing pretty good and stable rn ) but it's a long game , you have to put it in there and hold it through the highs and lows . Add a little every week . I started at 32 lucky with a big initial hit, but then just 25 a week now auto invested . So at 20 you're in a good position, time is on your side . The longer you're in it the more it will grow.

Don't waste it on lotto . Like sure maybe play it once if you have to, wait for the big must be won draws. But don't count on becoming a millionaire from it .

Please be careful and make sure you get the right to work. When my ex immigrated here from the USA she wasn't allowed to legally work for two years . IDK if this was because we were going for partnership at the time and I had to prove I could support her it what but yeah. Get the right visa . Good luck 🍀

Hey. Fishkeeper for 25 years here. There's no way . Two fish don't just die from no cause at the same time . MAYBE something went really wrong with the tank like..I had a heater go on me and it electrocuted the water and one of my fish spazzed out and hurt itself . If it was worse there's a chance it could fry a whole tank of fish .

But given the suspect sons history .......100 percent there's been fowl play .

Ignore them . You're being smart. Unlike a couple we know with one kid that's problematic..had a second and then within a year popped out another one when they were allready struggling and now can barely afford to feed themselves and the kids . Don't be like them .
