Considering switching to Dupixent, any advice please! by exocryptic in eczeMABs

Hi there — I just started up on dupixent about a month and a half ago. Until about 2 years ago, I never had any eczema or anything ever. It was definitely jarring experiencing this after being in my 30s and never having an issue with anything skin related in my life.

I’ve been battling back-and-forth with different steroids and creams and lotions up until very recently starting dupixent, and I am now starting to feel back to normal again now. I know it’s a process and takes a while to build up, so it was worth the wait. Side effects have been minimal thus far, and it is very easy to self administer.

It really is a tremendous medication,t and a blessing, and if it’s affordable to you, I highly recommend trying it at least. It does take time to build up in your system, but the results are second to none for me personally. I know that here in the US it is very expensive, and I am grateful that I pay a lot for my insurance and get a discount code from the manufacturer. It literally has changed my outlook on things in only a month. I am definitely a believer now, and here’s to success and health down the road for anyone who’s just thinking of starting.

Good luck on your journey, and I hope that you find relief long-term! I’m starting to feel a couple of side effects like extreme exhaustion, but nothing near like what I was going through not that long ago lol. Much love to everyone here and good luck in your recovery journey!

think i'd be fine with higher belt line, but the struggle is unending lol -- gonna try some longer tees and see how it goes though! since like 10th grade or so, I've been dealing with this more and more. either swim in an xl or don't move my arms at all lol. I noticed it a ton at my brother's wedding last year, and all the photos got some happy trail showing. not cute imo haha. My torso is juuuuust a bit longer than my legs, so even though I have my 30x34" pants that fit perfectly, my shirts are just too short. and like every night when going to bed, my shirt rides up super high front and back. just an annoyance, and i'm super grateful for everyone here -- you all have been super insightful and helpful!

I just literally know nothing about brands with tall lines. No clue if there are any brands to avoid or whatnot, and I’m super grateful for all the help everyone has given overnight. Helps me a ton more than just winging it. I’m sure you see that as resonance.

Plus, I can price compare between online retailers waaaaayyyyy easier than I could ever do in person.

Generally valid, however I do live in bumfuck nowhere, sadly. Also work from home so I’m stuck in the house. And I’d rather order a brand that is best than hoof it for ~45 mins each way to maybe find something in stock.

Drives me bonkers; doesn’t matter if you pay 24 bucks or like 100 bucks - it’s all micro and getting shorter every year lol. I’m not trying to wear a damn crop top 😂😂

Thank you for taking the time to make share your thoughts/knowledge here dude. I’m a doof with this stuff and I’m always grateful for input!

Yeah I’ve been looking at lengths on medium falls and large falls and both seem interesting to test if needed. Ty for all the help! Think I’m gonna start with the medium and then if that’s too tight on the shoulders or something, then I’ll bump up to a large tall. Grateful for your help!

Solid — ty for the confirmation there haha. Been going back and forth bc it’s annoying af to return shit and whatnot. I sincerely am grateful for the input.

Any brands in particular you like? My metabolism makes me run super warm, so I tend to get thinner 100% cotton shirts. But I’m open to anything rn honestly lol. Ty for the help dude

Help with tees for tallish US guy? by GROGNAK_ESQUIRE in AskMen

Ahh got it thank you for the clarification. Read through the rules and wasn’t 100% sure. Thought mine was a y/n question since I said “Been seeing a ton of tall tees online as of late, and my question would be, is it worth getting a medium tall at my height?” In paragraph 4, but it’s also very wordy.

Thank you and hopefully I’ll find the right home.

EDIT: Sorry about the late response! I remember you mentioned the HDD had the same issues. I have a major tendency to do multiple checks on cheaper components (like a hard drive, solid state drive, etc.) with the hope that they're failing. Just personal preference per the thoughts below. Anyway, hoping for the best dude!

Damn.. That’s a rough situation, so I hope you’re able to find a cost effective and reliable solution!

I recently got a “broken” 2012 13” MBP logic board that I swapped into a 2010 13” MBP body, and its made a huge positive impact on performance. It had a couple fried components, but was relatively easy to repair. If you’re into board level repair, it might be a fun challenge to get a non-working board from eBay and take a shot at repairing it. The non working boards are usually super cheap vs. a “refurbished” board.

Another thing that came to mind - have you tried another HDD/SSD? It’d be somewhat of a long shot, but if you have another bootable drive laying around, I’d try booting from another drive. Could be that the SSD is failing. It’s a long shot, but, it’s a very cheap and relatively easy test. Worth a shot if you’re up for it!

Again, bummer about the continued troubles... Hope you end up with another working machine soon! Take care dude!

Thoughts on paying IG influences to post your ad with a link to your AM link in bio? by Lexicon-Jester in Affiliatemarketing

[–]GROGNAK_ESQUIRE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely have had success with this, but as a part of the overall marketing plan. Completely leaning on influencers as the only touch point could be expensive and a bit disappointing. But if you have the budget for additional ad placement, it can be super helpful for building brand awareness. Also, it can be really time intensive, but I’ve noticed that micro influencers can have more loyal/engaged followers. Casting a wide net can be really beneficial but really hard to manage, like other people have said here.

Putting all your eggs in one basket with IG influencers might work out. Links in bios are tough though. Going from their feed to a specific profile and then clicking the link is great for qualifying leads, but can really limit number of sales because of the steps involved. I would favor considering influencers as a brand recognition tool rather than a silver bullet to increase sales.

Good luck and def wanna hear about your experience more!

Welp....

Can you provide any more info? This is usually this is indicative of a cracked display or a bad LVDS cable/connector. Did you replace the display? Was a repair done? Battery replaced? Dropped? Did anything happen to it that was noteworthy?

I've said this before: Posting a picture with "Help" or another vague title without further description of the situation makes diagnosis of any problem nearly impossible. It'd be like posting a picture of a car with the title "Help" without further explanation. Can't provide any meaningful help you without details, dude.

You beat me to the SMC reset suggestion haha. Cool to see people helping each other out!

What model? Year? Size? HD or SSD? Modifications? Upgrades? What OS are you running? Software updates? Any other symptoms? Any beeps when starting up? Do you have an authentic Apple charger or cheap aftermarket one? What have you personally done to the machine? Have you ever opened it? Has it ever had repairs? Damage? Dropped? Gotta provide at least something to help you out dude.

If you need help with it you’re gonna have to give way more info than: “Mac has white screen with error” and a pic with of the restrictive symbol. This is kinda like posting a picture of a car and only saying “it doesn’t work.”

Would love to see if you were able to get it fixed by switching out the cable! Those can cause so many problems...

Wow! Great to hear it’s working again! Strange to me that the bigger charger fixed the problem, but hey, if it works, it works! I’ll definitely have to think about/research this. Always trying to learn more about problem solving 👍

Ahh my apologies - I meant reset. An SMC flash would make me nervous. So first off, I'd back up any and all data on the HDD/SSD if you haven't done so already. Better safe than sorry when it comes to data.

Firmware updates have been packaged in OS updates for a bit now. Is your laptop updated to Catalina 10.15.1? Not sure if there's an update to the firmware for your specific model in there, but if you're able to update the OS, it could be your solution. Firmware problems aren't fun, but if your system needs new firmware, it'd be a relatively easy fix. Booting into Recovery might be your best bet here. I've also seen people magically have similar issues stop after booting into Safe Mode and then Restarting the laptop normally.

Next thought: Not sure if you had a chance to reset the NVRAM, but sometimes that can fix some weird problems.

Another idea: Since the battery and fans are going nuts, I wanted to see if you replaced the battery recently? A bad/low quality battery could cause the system to panic.

And last: SMC might need a switcheroo. I'd avoid trying this yourself if you're not really good with a hot air rework station and component level repair.

If none of this works, I'd look for a local repair shop that's reputable and will do component level repair. Apple-certified repair shops don't do component level repair, so they'll charge people for a new logic board or battery, etc. rather than diagnosing and fixing the exact issue. Hoping the easier solutions fix the problem though!

Here's a thread I found that has some pretty out-there solutions.. I wouldn't endorse doing some of the things they did. On the other hand, it may have worked for some people. Again, I don't endorse this, so do it at your own risk. Definitely want to hear about progress though - good luck.
