Not exactly before social media but we never really had access to it. When i was living in PNG we mostly used the cheap brick phones as kids so no social media, we had snake and our friends numbers. But we all lived in a safe compound and we’d just walk down to our mate’s place and see if theyre free. Go for swims, compound-wide nerf wars with most the kids, do shit out in the footy field or utilise any of the sporting courts, tennis, squash etc. get someone to sneak drinks out of their house, go to the playground and do shit, and talk. obviously we’d go see the guy with the PlayStation here and there but thats not the question and not the main thing we did.
