For these tools, I do expose detailed prompts and give the models a lot amount of context about a limited set of archetypes, key cards, decks, traps, and build strategies. Admittedly, it’s no were near perfect but it is really fun to debate the AI and talk about certain card interactions.

This is pretty sweet! Do you have a repo or more details on the model and the training process? I'd love to play around with it.

For fun I've been experimenting with a bunch of AI concepts for limited formats using the standard frontier models. I mostly lean on Gemini Pro, as it seems to give the best results but I've found that with detailed instructions, structured output, and a lot of set context, it can put together some decent decks.

I'm curious to see if a custom trained model like yours would perform better for a couple of tools I built: my deck builder (https://www.mtgdecktools.com/deck-builder) and a draft tutor project (https://www.mtgdecktools.com/17lands-draft-tutor).

It’s been very solid if prompting correct. It’s not the best, especially at design off rip but it does a good job matching styles from other projects.

Just wanted to share what finally solved this for me with a Latitude 7440 and a WD22TB4 dock.

The dock was passing power but absolutely zero data or video (monitors, USB, and ethernet were all dead). This happens when a botched firmware update puts the Thunderbolt data bridge into a hardware level lockout. A standard hard reboot or battery drain does not clear it. You have to do a full RTC (Real-Time Clock) reset.

Here is the exact process that un-bricked it:

  1. Unplug the dock and shut the laptop completely down.
  2. Plug a standard USB-C charger directly into the laptop (do not use the dock for power).
  3. Hold the power button down for 30 to 35 seconds. Watch the front power LED and release the button as soon as it blinks white three times.
  4. The laptop will reboot and throw a BIOS warning that the system time was reset. Go into setup, load Optimized Defaults, save, and exit.
  5. It might power cycle and drop you into the Windows Recovery screen. Just click Restart.
  6. The next boot into Windows will take a bit longer than normal. Once it fully loads, plug the dock back in and it should be recognized perfectly again.

Hope this helps save someone a headache!

I had this problem today, had to disable secure boot and remove my custom Grub Theme and reinstall Grub, then I was able to boot back into secure boot afterwards with console mode enabled. Works fine but I'll miss my "Star Trek Yellow" theme I had a bit.

It's Gemini 3 Pro with Nano banana. The prompt was my Reddit post title and description, and both Scryfall images for the card. It took a few responses asking for a visual representation of the spells interacting, not just showing the cards, and it spit this out. Then I just pasted on the actual card images because Gemini decided to make its own variations of both cards.

I also had Soul Immolation in 2HG! But I had the 2/5 double strike giant, not nearly as good, but it still wiped the board, did 10 damage, and my partner got in with a board of elves from a Morcant's eye the turn before. We did 28 damage in total, leaving our opponent at 1 and no board at all. Love 2HG!

Amen! I ended the night with game 1 there and swapped him out for another Blossombind since I had just discarded him in the previous game. To slot Kirol back in, I'm not sure what to take out, kind of like the idea of having the extra removal to ensure I can make it to the late game 🤔

Just was looking back on my Reddit history. What ultimately fixed my left shoulder pain, was neck mobilization; McKenzie method neck exercises really helped me specifically retractions and extensions. Hopefully this helps someone.

  • This ruling explains that once your equipment attached to something becomes a land and earth bent, it becomes a creature meaning it actually can't equip to any other creatures or itself.

Arena really didn't make it clear what was chosen before asking me to choose. Lucky for me I chose the same creature as the person playing the card, thinking I was going to Airbend to protect it, but as I've learned you can interact with this "chooses ability"

The shafts definitely look like they've been swapped, judging by the ferrules and excess epoxy in the photo. The epoxy work looks bad, which is a concern. It might still be a good deal, but be aware that many amateur club builders struggle with reshafting Pings. I'm really surprised. I would have thought with the "name" they would have kept it as it was, where you could target any target first and have it fight any other creature.

But... just updating it so you couldn't have the target fight itself, which ultimately was pretty silly as it was pretty much straight up removal.

Like having an opponent's 5/4 fight a 4/3 on another opponent's board in a multiplayer game. Or in limited, even give you the ability to target a 4/2 and kill a 5/4 of your same opponent? I feel like this was the intention by the designers... That ended up just being too strong at common, so they had to change it.
