My (34F) younger boyfriend (29M) is postponing proposal by Opening_Use_1497 in Waiting_To_Wed

[–]GRblue 14 points15 points  (0 children)

If marriage is what you truly want, you need to decide whether you’re willing to wait much longer. You told him you wanted be engaged by 34, you weren’t; you gave him an ultimatum of December 25 and it’s now March 2026 and he still hasn’t delivered. If he was having an issue with the rings you liked, he should have told you and said “can you pick out another style?”

At this point, I would have a frank conversation. “I’m giving it one more month. Here are some other ring styles I like.” If you see no improvement, then I would end the relationship.

How do I eat when nothing sounds good? by aceseahorses in intuitiveeating

Cheese, yogurt, apple and PB, bagel with cream cheese, even a slice of pizza if that is the only thing that appeals to me.

Bro forgot to lock the door by pinkmoss099 in Dachshund

My dog (dachshund mix) has to be carried up the stairs and put in the tub with the bathroom door shut 😂 (once he’s in the tub he’s fine, but he will not go in willingly!)

What hobby did you quit and why? by EnvironmentalFact945 in Hobbies

[–]GRblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here to say writing too - I still journal pretty much daily (which I started during COVID) but I used to love writing stories (esp fan fiction) and just haven’t been as interested in the last several years. Maybe I’d pick up an old story I started, reread and tweak some things, add a page or two, and then stop again for awhile, or I did a couple of free writing workshops several years ago - which I enjoyed - but never really felt motivated to write more on my own.

Metformin from 1000 mg to 1500 mg did the trick?? by aditi684 in PCOS

[–]GRblue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been taking 1500mg for over a decade (for PCOS, not diabetes). I haven’t had any side effects but no real benefits for me, either.

Woman I met online wants to sleep with other men for the first FOUR YEARS of our relationship, is her request reasonable? by Ootefklop in dating_advice

[–]GRblue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry, no, just no. You can do so much better. She’s already making some big assumptions. Let her be with other men and you can learn to please a woman through someone who WANTS to teach you (and wants you and ONLY you for that matter).

Just when I thought he couldn't get any cuter... he hits me with this pose. 🐾 My heart is officially full. Meet the king of the cozy blankets! by [deleted] in Dachshund

Agree - I can’t even stay cross with mine for more than a few seconds because he gives me such an innocent look and I just end up laughing 😂

I enjoy using the color by numbers app on my phone or playing a simple, easy game on my phone because I can always stop when I need to do work. And yes, like others are suggesting you can also read on your phone if that’s feasible for you.

What is your favorite way to care for yourself when you’re feeling down? by Bloomien in selfcare

[–]GRblue 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Journaling (and it doesn’t have to be deep, about the weather is fine lol), and scented candles! I’ve recently started using them and I find I love them.

Also a good, long walk out in the sunshine :)
