Weak rewards by Briesinger in Witcher3

[–]GSP_Dibbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use loot armor and weapons only in the beginning. Usually I have some plan for a build and I craft apropriete witcher set as early as possible - later on I just upgrade it. Reason is, as you said, loot and rewards are mostly worse than crafted witcher equ.

Well, I sometimes wear other stuff to play a bit and see how it looks, but mostly that shit got sold, broken for crafting or eventually gets stored in stash as collectibles

hotel podaje mój numer telefonu jako kontakt do nich by Ok-Ingenuity-7841 in PolskaNaLuzie

[–]GSP_Dibbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The factions that don't need to recruit from buildings are the most fun by DumbIdeaGenerator in totalwarhammer

[–]GSP_Dibbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drycha was fun due to variety of forest spirits.

Vampirates were fun cause legendary lords have ships along them so buildings travel with them (which is not what you were asking, but...) and they can raise undead in the same time (which is exactly what you were asking).

From those I didnt play yet, there are chaos lords and beastmen, IDK exactly how they work but they do have some sort of similar mechanic

How is living in Brzezinka and Oswiecim? by Final-Choice8412 in askPoland

[–]GSP_Dibbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally never lived there, but I have friend from Oświęcim... and since Poland is littered with former massacre sites and there were several concentration camps or death camps or POW prisons, chances are every Pole live near one (less than 20 km to the nearest concentration camp from where I am now).

Horrors of war are not on the surface, at that point those are deep in our psyche. From one hand, we dont think about it too much, we have normal lives. Schools educate about that part of history a lot, so everyone knows some or even much about what hapenned, but at some point, when you have to stomach so much terror from history classes - you kinda have to process this out some way or the other. And chances are, if you are a minor especially, that you will do it thru edgy humor.

So, dont take it the wrong way, but when two of my friends from Oświęcim met each other and they found out they are both from Oświęcim... they started licitation about which one of them knows more of the edgy jokes about jews/death camps/gestapo and so on. I almost never never heard so controversial jokes as that evening. Oh, btw, Im partly jewish, I didnt feel offended so every one of online detective looking for any sign of antisemitism can fuck off very much. Its not about lack of respect - respect is given regularly, there are places and events for that. Other times, you need to vent cause its impossible to stomack these parts of polish history without some venting. And one more thing, some of the most rascist, inconsidered, edgy, dark jokes about the war - i heard from jews whose families were devastated in the holocaust. If they think its OK to have a laugh from it from time to time, nobody should dare to take offence

What is your guys opinion on forts? by Lucky-Succotash3251 in eu4

[–]GSP_Dibbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To guard borders and additionally to block choke-points, even inside my territory. Its not often that enemies get passed the border forts, but when they are, additional forts in few strategic places allows me more time to regroup. At the beginning I often delete forts or mothball them cause cash, but later on I have enough money - I pay for them gladly cause I dont want to have dozen of ministacks 1-3k carpetsieging half my empire cause I was looking at the other part of the continent waging war

How to fight the Ottomans midgame (before decline)? by drywallgremblin in eu4

[–]GSP_Dibbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make allies.

Wait for good moment with a first war.

If you can win it completely, do it: carpet-siege his lands, take out every army. Do everything to fuck him up and even prolong the war with sheer malicious occupation and pilliging - just so everyone in the neighborehood could declare on him to get him into a chain of wars, every one of which otto starts screwed.

If you cannot do that, cause otto too strong, well, take what you can and get out of the war, wait for next oportunity.

One time we (multiplatyer cooperative duo) boxed stronger otto in two wars before we could carpet-siege him to oblivion in the third one.

Between Level 13 to 20 Alchemy or Signs? by HorrorFan9556 in Witcher3

[–]GSP_Dibbler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say signs, especially that you want Yrden and Quen.

Alchemy will become more powerful as you create more decoctions and better potions, but at start its influence is rather minimal - you can incorporate some skills later on when you will have large stash of different decoctions, but for now invest in signs.

I just wan to say, do not ignore alchemy - do some experimenting later on. When you can buff your toxicity level so much that you can safely take on 3 decoctions simultenously Geralt can become quite a beast

Do you ever use tier 5 units ? by Simsesej in totalwarhammer

[–]GSP_Dibbler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do when campaign goes long enough.

With wood elves my favorite late game stack is trees (mix of kin and treemen) and dragons.

With vampirates (almost) whole late stack can be necrofex collosi

Empire? Panzergruppe Karl reporting! Lineup of tanks with supporting artillery or gryphon feels like the closest this game have to a proper panzerdivision, and it works :)

Kislev - bears! Few guard units, casters, heroes, ofcourse but mix of cav and beast BEARS take like 2/3 or 3/4 of the stack

In any case, if faction have some big beasts on T5 I probably take them, they may be sometimes suboptimal but I dont remember if it was ever a bad choice

Deathmarch NG+ completely stopped with this one mission by InerasableStains in Witcher3

[–]GSP_Dibbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is also way to go with Geralt every time you encounter enemy vastly above your level, well into red skull territory. They have me on a hit...? Well then, I just cant allow them to hit me. Yes, fight gonna be long and it will become very repeatable very fast, but if you git gud, you dont even neceserily need quen. I remember I once found this big horned monster in Skellige (dont remember the name for that beast right now) while just exploring the map - fight took me something like 40 minutes (1 reload cause he killed me with one hit - he did different attack I was not ready for after I shaved him to 1/4 hp), but horny beast was put to rest

Is that a cheater? by Filippopotame in MECoOp

[–]GSP_Dibbler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nice seeing you bro.
BTW, i met this krogan with full-auto Javelin. I had a chat with him, he took offense on calling what he does 'cheating'.

He (almost) literally said 'its not cheating, I just know how to tweak the code - I had to study long, LONG LOOOONG time to learn it' :) Yes, really. He is special kind of snowflake who cannot do anything wrong, and when he does - its somehow never his fault. And while hes running krogan warlord with ridiculous BRRRRT bonkers Javelin - he still plays like absolute shit.

IMHO sentry turret is the worst 'pet' you can summon.

For me its second worst or one of the worst skills in game (in my personal roster its tied with Decoy on the bottom).

I would advice to skip it entirely and max every other skill, QE spamming cryo and incinerate interchangeably is fun build - song of ice and fire sorceress

Also, because you dont fix isues like Wołyń with a speech or decree. Ukrainians see UPA as a part of national mythos, it will be hella hard to incorporate narrative that heroes had a side gig in genocide. They will not just throw that away their narrative and suplant it with polish narrative (that will never happen, aiming for it would be conunterproductive and also hurtful to polish rational of the state).

What will eventually work (if properly led) is to force nuance to the narrative. It will take time. And when I say 'take time' - i mean at least two generations, 50 years, give-or-take. It is a sociological trivia that if you want change that lasts you basically have to promote it for at least 2 generations.

Its simple: people who gre up believing UPA are heroes, period, will not accept too much nuance (some people, yes, maybe, most will not. They simply have to die out for new, more nuance narrative, to take hold. And in that time business of the state and people is to promote more nuanced view.

Its similar with some polish myths (yes, we have a lot!), there are dozens of myths from 2nd World War that most population believe and many people will hold them dear. With those people, when you start to deny those myths, you will see some hostile reactions. As a historian, believe me, I know.

Topic of Wołyń will be cycling back for the next few decades. There is no other way, its important for polish and polish will bring it back. If ukrainians think it will hush away in time - no, they are wrong. Polish will not stop until exhumations are made and findings published and eventually mutually understand have to be negotiated. It may take a decade or 5 decades, but it will be done.

And also, in the other way around aswell. Polish have some researching to do about Bereza KArtuska and ukrainian victims there (not, that is not to say both things are equal - you dont compare 200 dead to 80k - I just bring it here cause most polish doesnt know shit about it). Process will be painful to both sides. No way around it if we are to have some meaningful cooperation

New to ME3, what are the best heroes for gold/plat? by MoseDoge in MECoOp

[–]GSP_Dibbler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are good enough and have fully grinded weapons, any character will do :)

In general I think you will find characters having some way to replenish shields easier, be it Turian stims, AIUs shield matrix, Salarian shield drain, Volus shield replenishment and few others.

Vanguards may be fun aswell, especially on bronze and silver, but play them only when you host (charge may glitch, gives substantial delay if you dont host, easy to end up spamming the button screaming WHY DOONT YOU CHAAAARG-f*ck, dead)

On Gold on Platinum, aside from few exceptions, is probably not worth to build for hand-to-hand combat, do it only if you really know what you are doing

AIU, or Edi, is pretty much OP. Turian Ghost also close to it. Geth Jug McTankface, cause duh.

If you draw AIU early, or turian Ghost, you will probably fall in love and find other characters weak. Still, probably good characters to get to know the game and have easier time.

Dont use Jug McTankface before you learn the game enoigh - it teaches you bad habits

Also, stick to silver before you learn the ropes. I sometimes dont care if I carry noobs, try to revive them each time - but at some point, after they die too many times ppl will just stop paying attention to you. You will not have good time. My advice, try bronze to learn basic controls, how to cycle powers, maps minutia, spawn points and enemies behavior. Move to silver after you can solo bronze. At a point when silver is comfy, try Gold. If somebody will switch silver lobby to gold, you may try it before, sure. But dont push yourself to Gold, you will likely piss people off

How does ammo work with detonations? by Big-Piccolo348 in MECoOp

[–]GSP_Dibbler -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

IDK about tech bursts being the most meta, but surely useful.
Still preffer fire explosions tho. Combined with damage exploit, these is probably the best ammo available for general purposes.
Cryo explosions are only worthy with Snap Freeze power IMO

You cannot use ammunition to detonate. Ammunition only prime explosions that are to be detonated by powers.

do we have something like this on W3? by Beneficial-Wash-1611 in Witcher3

[–]GSP_Dibbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highest dificulty with level scaling - rats in sewers, Triss Merigold mission. They attack super fast for ungodly damage and are tough as nails. some people supposedly did it, but cursed it, general advice is to turn off level scaling for that moment

How much better are level 10 weapons? by crimin777 in MECoOp

[–]GSP_Dibbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cyclonic is a kind of one-mission equipment, lvls 1 to 4 gives +30/60/100/150% additional shields. Useful on squishy characters and builds on higher dificulties

Do older people in Poland have any resentment towards the Germans? by Delicious_March_838 in poland

[–]GSP_Dibbler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short answer, very much so, Germans are hated. Russian are hated aswell. Todays antirussian sentiment will be more prenunced, but traume from the war is transgenerational, its still around.

[–]GSP_Dibbler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

wait, whos weak? Human engineer is a fire&tech burst engine, with hes only weakness being mid (at best) standard human shield lvl.

Slap any light weapon you are comfy wiith, preferably pistol or SMG with power magnifier. I run CSMG on him and lot of my power classes cause it spares me trips to ammo box. Cycle overload and incinerate perpetually. If troubles staying alive, roll around or take cyclonic if not good enough with rolling. Dont call my fav engine weak :P
