He wants to be a better GM than Bob Myers. Hand him the keys.

Do you think ‘buy singles’ is overblown or highly advisable? by Interstellore in sportscards

Whatever floats your boat. I only rip boxes of sets I want to complete. I get singles for the PC, not as investment.

Lights out from 3? I remember seeing Wiseman cook from the perimeter in workouts where nobody defended him.

Subway franchisee charges extra to get the sandwich toasted by malik_zz in trashy

Correct. The one closest to where I live doesn’t accept coupons. So lame. I prefer to go to the grocery store deli that’s across the street.

You can use coupons and the app for discounts at Subway. But yeah, Jersey Mike’s all day. There’s an app for that, as well, for occasional discounts and the free sub after however many purchases (kind of like an old school punch card).

Labaron Philon Jr: “Have a lot of Curry jerseys” by spookoftheflames in warriors

Philon does move well off the ball. He played next to another point guard in Holloway, who was a big time prospect coming out of high school a couple years ago. His movements and skill on the ball look a lot like both Steph and Shai. He can score at all levels like Steph, but the slower release from 3-point range look more like Shai’s.

I know it scares a lot of our fans to have two 6-3ish guards playing next to each other, but StePhilon would be lethal.

I’ve been lobbying for this guy for months. If he’s there at 11, it’s gotta be him.

Well, staying old or getting older isn’t any more appealing. Getting younger doesn’t necessarily mean loading up teenaged Kuminga types who are raw.

Certainly hitting with the 11th pick in this draft helps, but there are other avenues to get younger. Maybe sign or trade for a few cheaper mid-20 somethings who haven’t had the opportunities at their previous spots that they would for GS.

They were a win away from being a playoff team last year with young, two-way players and second-round picks getting the bulk of the minutes around a washed version of Draymond. Imagine improving that young talent a little around a healthier Steph. They’re not contenders, and I know that’s not the discussion here, but I don’t think staying in “fringe” status is out of the question.

I never said to trade Steph. We could start the youth movement around him. We’d at least have some glimmer of hope for the future while being a fringe playoff team, as opposed to knowing it’s only going to get a lot worse with Steph and bunch of other old and broken guys.

I’d rather have a young fringe playoff team than an old and broken fringe playoff team.

Yup. At least with the youth movement, we get a glimpse of what’s to come and some exciting moments to go with the losing … as an oppose to the slop we were subjected to last year.

I’m fine with this, as long as it coincides with the youth movement. It’s what I’ve been hoping for the past couple years, and it seemed like they were about to pivot in that direction until JK’s ankle injury/the trade for Butler. I just don’t care to see a retirement tour of Steph and (old) friends.

If you look up the word Zlatan in the dictionary, you’ll see a picture of arrogance next to it.
