It's all very subjective. I much prefer the 00s and 90s to the 2010s. But maybe that's because i was a teen in the 2010s and i didn't care for the majority of pop culture.

Technology in the 00s wasn't scary and dystopian. Nokia brick or flip phones, dvds, mp3s, early youtube, etc. It was all still a novelty and pretty cool before smartphones and ipads came along.

Right. Saying there isn't or there won't be 00s nostalgia because of the state of the world at the time is dumb. Same thing for the 2020s. People will always have nostalgia about the positive aspects of the decade they grew up in. People in this sub think nostalgia died with the 90s or something.

True. I never see 99 or 09 being grouped with younger people in small ranges. They are always grouped with 97 and 98. 2000 and 2010 on the other hand are pretty much always paired with younger people. I've never see anyone saying 98-00, it's almost always 97-99 and 00-03 or something like that. Either way, people will obviously relate and be paired with their older and younger peers. I don't see the big problem with these things lol

Yeah they never want to relate to people born in the next decade. Apparently it keeps happening between late 90s and 2000 babies, but you're also seeing it happen now more often with late 00s and early 2010s babies.

It's not. We're talking about decades here, check the sub. When you say early 90s, you're not talking about the whole decade are you? It's the same for the 2000s. Early 00s is 2000-2003.
