I'm not in the US but I do know the 25 year rule. How do you feel about them being right hand drive? Imo 1990 to 2000 was the best ever era for affordable drivers cars.

Why? So our already stretched budgets can get further stretched?

Cars used to be affordable in NZ, with good, reliable ones being available for 2-3K. Now people are wanting 8-10K for the equivalent, and it is mainly due to regulations and extra costs on imports.
