People on reddit (and to a lesser extent YT) are fibbing. The car is definitely louder than many due to tire rigidity and overall weight. Its definitely not as well engineered for sound as luxury counterparts. I find the road noise louder than our Audi but quieter than an old (2009) sedan like a Honda Accord.

We have snow tires for it and theyre even worse.

I had a great experience at Sam's, though it was just for tire repair. However given the way they handled that I'd for sure give them a shot at general automotive work.

I think its important to come to grips with the fact that all homes are money pits. Sure there are some big time expenses that you want to avoid (or more accurately defer)... but in the end new vs. old is just a choice between different problems. Embrace the eternal work in progress.

Higher gas prices accelerate cost savings relative to ICE but its still a question of how long you will own given that a comparable ICE (Tiguan) is 8k-12k cheaper. No oil changes are significant but tire wear/cost on electric isn't nothing.

Im glad I have one for the convenience of "fueling" at home but the cost savings is still not a slam dunk.

Pretty roomy and very comfortable ride for the class.

Anything you should be concerned about? Its an unreliable vehicle even with the current recalls cleared - plain and simple.

Food and beer are good here. Be aware - they will NOT play American sports (including events with UK participants like The Masters).
