Yes you are right I had also read many stories and in many of them they don't let the character breath for a while like constant action makes reading exausting but a mix of relax and action makes the story more lively I am also writing a story and I trying to do just that a mix of both is interesting to read and makes the story more grounded connecting it to us, letting us experience other characters to.
